My Unborn Baby Chose My Husband for Me novel Chapter 351

Barney chuckled. "You women just love overthinking things. As for men, it's perfectly normal to like one person today and someone else tomorrow."

"What are you talking about?" Zelda glared at him. "My daughter truly loves Sebastian."

"What is true love worth?" Barney dismissed her, sitting up to put his clothes on.

Watching his back, Zelda felt a sudden chill in her heart.

This man always spoke sweet words, but when she actually needed his help, he did absolutely nothing.

"Barney," she called out, shifting to a softer tone.

Barney paused as he buttoned his shirt and glanced back at her. "What?"

Zelda leaned closer, wrapping her arms around his waist from behind. "Sienna hasn't eaten or drank anything in days. As her mother, it breaks my heart. Can you please help me?"

He frowned. "How am I supposed to help? Your daughter lost, plain and simple. Are we supposed to go looking for trouble?"

Barney had no interest in getting involved in such messy affairs.

"I just want to know what makes her so special," Zelda muttered indignantly.

"What makes her special? She's young, beautiful, and comes from a good family," Barney said bluntly.

Zelda's expression darkened.

Noticing her shift in mood, Barney's tone softened. "Alright, alright, stop overthinking it. I have a dinner meeting soon, so I need to go."

He stood up, pulled a card from his wallet, and tossed it onto the bed. "This is for the month. Take it, bring Sienna out to relax, and buy some nice dresses and purses."

Zelda glanced at the card but didn't pick it up immediately.

"What? Not enough?" Barney raised an eyebrow.

Biting her lip, Zelda eventually reached out and took the card. "Thank you, Barney."

"Good girl." He kissed her cheek, grabbed his car keys, and swaggered out the door.
