Seraphina took the milk tea Lucian handed her, took a sip, and narrowed her eyes in satisfaction.
"Good?" Lucian leaned in, his voice low.
"Yeah."
Lucian reached out, and Seraphina naturally placed the cup in his hand.
She thought he was just holding it for her.
Instead, he took a sip and frowned. It was too sweet.
"It's good," Lucian finally said after a moment.
Seraphina looked away uncomfortably, muttering, "I already drank from that..."
Lucian smirked at the flush on her cheeks. "I don't mind."
"I mind," Seraphina mumbled.
"Let's go. We need to buy toys for Little Bean," Lucian said, in high spirits.
Seraphina hummed in agreement and walked by his side.
They stepped into a chain maternity and baby store, browsing the aisles.
"Look at this. It transforms and has a remote control. It's fun. Little Bean will definitely love it."
Lucian picked up a transforming toy and waved it in front of the baby.
Little Bean showed zero interest, too lazy to even lift his eyelids. "Dad is so childish. I don't like this at all."
Hearing her son's inner voice, Seraphina almost burst out laughing.
Lucian didn't give up, still dangling the toy. "Junior, look, it transforms, and it can..."
"You're the one who wants to play with it, aren't you?" Seraphina couldn't help but interrupt.
Lucian's eyes flickered. He set the toy down and coughed to cover his embarrassment. "Of course not."
Seraphina raised an eyebrow. "Oh? Is that so?"
"Lucian?"
A sharp voice rang out behind them, shattering the harmonious moment.
