"It probably wouldn't be as bad as how you're being cuckolded," Noelle replied.

Her sharp and poisonous reply immediately sent Wyatt into a fit of rage. "What do you even gain from humiliating Xenia like this?!"

"At the very least, I'll be happy. Being happy is the most important thing in life, isn't it?"

"Just you wait, Noelle!"

Wyatt could not argue with Noelle any further then. But if Xenia had not been beaten unconscious, he would have taught Noelle a lesson right then and there.

Noelle watched as the rest of the Liddell family was taken away, her gaze colder than usual. Xenia was now pushed to a dead end, through and through.

As such, Noelle was curious to see how the mastermind behind the scenes would continue to manipulate Xenia into sabotaging the AI project.

Meanwhile, the banquet's atmosphere had gotten noticeably dimmer after the whole commotion.

Just then, Ruth stepped forward and said, "Alright, everyone. The incident has been resolved. Let's turn our attention to all the performances that Mrs. Cantrell has prepared for us, shall we?"

Salena's mood turned for the better with Ruth's help in smoothing things over.

The guests of the banquet also cooperated and went along with the rest of the program. But in private, everyone was still discussing the spectacle from earlier.

Salena brought Mia back inside the house and immediately raised her hand to slap Mia.

But just then, Noelle stopped her hand and grabbed her by the wrist.

Noelle stared at Salena and said, "It's Mia's birthday today. It'd be unsightly if people were to notice that you had left a mark on her face, don't you think?"

"Who do you think you are? This is a private matter of our family! Don't think that I have no idea that you're the one who orchestrated all of this!" Salena shouted.

She did not figure things out immediately, but after looking at the end result, she quickly pieced together the whole picture. Mia had wanted to break up with Donovan, but she opposed it. As a result, this whole drama unfolded at the banquet as retaliation.

The Liddell family had just humiliated themselves. If Salena were to still force Mia to marry Donovan, the Cantrells would also be roped in as a laughingstock.

Mia stepped in front of Noelle and said, "It was my idea. She just went along with it."
