Cedric straightened up, suddenly having the urge to light a cigarette. He turned to Noelle, and his expression softened.
Noelle met his gaze and slowly walked toward him. "Stop."
He would leave evidence behind if he continued. Cedric finally lifted his foot. He shouldn't have lost control like that in front of Noelle.
Donovan clambered up from the ground in a sorry state, glaring at Cedric. "You're dead!"
Just then, Salena hurried in with a group of people. Without hesitation, they confiscated all cameras and phones from everyone present, including the reporters.
She ordered, "Clear the room. Make sure everything recorded on those devices is erased."
Nothing that happened here today could be leaked. Soon, all unrelated personnel were removed.
Xenia helped Donovan over to Salena's side. "Mrs. Cantrell, you saw how they hurt my brother. This can't go unpunished! We have to ruin Maple Enterprise's reputation!"
But Salena didn't even spare them a glance. Instead, she turned to Cedric. "Was that really necessary? This is just business competition. There's no need for violence."
It was only after seeing Cedric take action that she finally realized how important Noelle was to him. Cedric rolled up his sleeves, revealing his strong forearms.
He sternly stepped toward Salena. "Your taste in business partners is amusing. It's no wonder your investments have been failing all these years. You even went as far as to sell off Mia and tried to seize your niece's shares."
Salena paled. "Mr. Greene, watch your words."
"You have three days to cut ties with Donovan," Cedric said icily. "Otherwise, who knows what I'll do."
Her tone was harsh. "Do you really have to take it this far?"
It was obvious that Salena had orchestrated this.
The event planner turned ghostly pale and scrambled to explain, "Mrs. Cantrell arranged everything! I was just following Mr. Liddell's orders! I didn't know anything about the patent issue!"
"You fool!" The mayor cursed before turning back to Cedric. "I will arrange for a new product launch event. There will be no negative reports about this incident. You have my word."
Cedric's expression remained grim. "The Liddell family has stolen our company's ideas before, and now they're outright plagiarizing our products."
His eyes locked onto Donovan. "A disgrace like that doesn't deserve a place here."
Donovan's face twisted. "Who the hell are you?"
"He's the heir of the Greene family."
