Cedric straightened up, suddenly having the urge to light a cigarette. He turned to Noelle, and his expression softened.
Noelle met his gaze and slowly walked toward him. "Stop."
He would leave evidence behind if he continued. Cedric finally lifted his foot. He shouldn't have lost control like that in front of Noelle.
Donovan clambered up from the ground in a sorry state, glaring at Cedric. "You're dead!"
Just then, Salena hurried in with a group of people. Without hesitation, they confiscated all cameras and phones from everyone present, including the reporters.
She ordered, "Clear the room. Make sure everything recorded on those devices is erased."
Nothing that happened here today could be leaked. Soon, all unrelated personnel were removed.
Xenia helped Donovan over to Salena's side. "Mrs. Cantrell, you saw how they hurt my brother. This can't go unpunished! We have to ruin Maple Enterprise's reputation!"
But Salena didn't even spare them a glance. Instead, she turned to Cedric. "Was that really necessary? This is just business competition. There's no need for violence."
It was only after seeing Cedric take action that she finally realized how important Noelle was to him. Cedric rolled up his sleeves, revealing his strong forearms.
He sternly stepped toward Salena. "Your taste in business partners is amusing. It's no wonder your investments have been failing all these years. You even went as far as to sell off Mia and tried to seize your niece's shares."
Salena paled. "Mr. Greene, watch your words."
"You have three days to cut ties with Donovan," Cedric said icily. "Otherwise, who knows what I'll do."
Her tone was harsh. "Do you really have to take it this far?"
