Cedric spoke up first. "It's getting late. You should get some rest."
"Yeah," Noelle hung up after replying to him.
She took a look at their messages and felt that she had returned to the past, back when she was still in Aldoria. It was as if everything that had happened since then was just an illusion. Perhaps it was the best way for them to interact for now.
Noelle placed the signed documents under her pillow. She could finally have a good night's sleep. She would sleep well that night, but someone else probably would not. They were probably too furious to even fall asleep.
…
The next day, Noelle woke up refreshed. She headed downstairs for breakfast. As she passed by one of the rooms in the hallway, she heard Xenia crying, seemingly dissatisfied with something.
Wyatt spotted Noelle walking past and hurriedly pushed himself out on the wheelchair to stare at her. "Stop right there, Noelle. We need to talk."
"Not interested," Noelle rejected him outright and continued heading downstairs for breakfast.
Not long after, Wyatt came downstairs with a tearful Xenia. He stared at Noelle and said, "Sell this villa to me."
"How much are you offering?" Noelle asked.
Wyatt replied confidently. "I know that this villa originally cost five million dollars. I'll give you double that. How about that?"
Noelle burst into laughter. "This villa is worth 50 million dollars now, and it's only going to appreciate even more in the future."
The area was well known for being an affluent district home to many celebrities. Despite the scarce number, the villas were all in high demand.
Wyatt's face turned red from anger. "Don't push your luck, Noelle! We're family! And I'm already offering you a five million profit!"
Noelle shot Wyatt a look of disdain. "Stop pretending to be rich if you don't have the money."
He might as well be dreaming if he thought he could buy a 50 million-dollar villa for just 10 million.
Xenia stomped her foot and explained, "That's not true! You must be misunderstanding something. I'm about to marry Wyatt soon, so how could I have any thoughts about another man?"
Justin would not have dumped her if Noelle had not exposed her affair with Wyatt at the banquet. Otherwise, she could have married into the wealthy Parham family. By then, she would not be any worse off than Noelle.
Wyatt spoke up with confidence. "Listen to me, Noelle. You're selling this villa today whether you want it or not!"
"Why would I do that?"
"Because I'm your older brother, and she's your sister-in-law!"
Noelle rolled her eyes so hard they almost reached the back of her head. "How fucking shameless!"
She stared at Wyatt with a smirk and continued, "How about this? If you both kneel before me and call me Madam Noelle, I'll consider selling it to you."
Wyatt's expression darkened immediately.
