Xenia was displeased. "But I just love this house, Wyatt!"
She would have already fallen out with the Liddells by the time the AI project concluded. And by then, the Liddells would be faced with bankruptcy, leaving them with no money to buy her a villa.
Wyatt was getting impatient. "Xenia, I promise to get you a villa of the same value, with you as the owner. I can't just go and beg Noelle for this house, can I?"
Xenia decided not to press on further when she realized that Wyatt was getting angry.
After finishing her meal, Noelle stood up and glanced at both Xenia and Wyatt. "I'll be handling the property transfer today. This house is mine from today onwards."
Wyatt replied with a tone of envy. "Who needs this old house of yours anyway?"
"Well, the two of you better start looking for another place to stay. I have no intention of living with the both of you," Noelle replied before turning to leave.
Wyatt was furious. "Donovan, look at her! Are you not going to do something?"
"Our entire family relies on Noelle right now, which includes you, so you'd better not offend her, Wyatt. Otherwise, you'll be left with nothing when our family goes bankrupt," Donovan replied.
Wyatt immediately fell silent. After a while, he snorted and said, "I bet that Noelle is gonna get discarded once the Greenes get bored of her."
And when that happened, he would make sure to teach her a lesson. Xenia, however, lowered her head, already calculating her next move.
Noelle went straight to the real estate offices to complete the transfer after leaving the Liddell residence. She also took the opportunity to sort through all of the assets, feeling immensely satisfied as she held onto the freshly issued property deed.
In her past life, she was kicked out of the villa and ended up wandering the streets. But this time, she finally snatched the house back into her hands, and the one getting kicked out of the house would be Liddells instead of her.
Noelle then returned to the campus in a good mood. She headed straight to class, but she could not shake the feeling that her classmates were staring at her with strange looks.
Noelle sat next to Grace and whispered, "What's going on? Do I have something on my face?"
