No longer a pushover (Noelle and Cedric) novel Chapter 699

The rest of the group collectively gasped after hearing Noelle's words.

They had all already heard about the matter and had also noticed Samantha wearing unusually long pants to cover up her ankles, but no one dared to ask her about it. Nobody expected Noelle to be so bold as to talk about the ankle monitor right away.

Samantha's mind went blank for a moment as her face turned red from shame. Enraged, she lunged at Noelle. "I'll kill you, you bitch! You fucking country bumpkin!"

Noelle shifted herself slightly to the side, and Samantha lost her balance, crashing to the ground. The ankle monitor was now exposed along with the fall.

All of the students nearby saw the ankle monitor, and some even took out their phones to secretly snap pictures of it.

Noelle glanced over and said, "So this is an ankle monitor, huh? Such a luxurious product is indeed out of my reach, but it suits you perfectly."

"I'll kill you, Noelle! I'll fucking kill you! I'll make sure you die a horrifying death!" Samantha shouted.

She then hurriedly pulled down her pant leg to cover up the ankle monitor before glaring at the crowd. "What the hell are you all looking at? Keep your fucking mouths shut if you don't want me to gouge your eyes out, and make sure that you never set foot on this campus ever again!"

Everyone quickly lowered their heads out of fear of meeting Samantha's gaze and getting on the bad side of this arrogant young lady.

Noelle spoke up calmly. "Samantha, it seems like you never learned your lesson. If you were to break the law again, the only thing waiting for you would be a prison sentence."

Samantha's eyes were burning with anger as she glared at Noelle. "I'll make sure to drag you down to hell with me."

Noelle glanced at her and replied, "If that's the case, I'll take the entire Merlock family down with us as well. We can all go down together.

"By the way, do you know what your mother looked like when she came to me to ask for a settlement?"

Samantha's face immediately turned bright red from anger. Noelle ignored her and just turned to leave.

Grace followed her and said, "Samantha must be crazy. She's like a complete polar opposite when you compare her to her sister, Laura."

"They're actually the same exact kind of people. Laura is just smarter, while Samantha was spoiled rotten," Noelle replied.

She did not back down in the slightest, but it was clear that the Merlocks had pulled enough strings behind the scenes to prevent Samantha from getting a prison sentence. Instead, Samantha was placed under house arrest with an ankle monitor attached to her.

"You can look at the news instead. Search for anything related to the Liddell Corporation's AI project. You won't have to ask me such stupid questions once you've seen them for yourself," Noelle replied.

She had always thought that Justin was just another playboy. She did not expect him to actually care about Xenia.

Justin immediately pulled out his phone to do a quick search, and his expression shifted dramatically. "Impossible! This can't be real! You Liddells must be forcing her into this, right? Xenia told me that she only ever loved me!"

He could not believe that Xenia was actually with Wyatt and that she planned to marry him.

Noelle smirked and replied, "If you really loved her that much, why did you run away from the Cantrell family's banquet like a coward?"

Justin's expression turned unnatural. "I was too angry to think straight at the time! I really thought that she was two-timing me! She explained to me that your family was forcing her to do so!"

While he was grounded, Brittany had been responding to Xenia's messages on his behalf. When Brittany asked for them to break up, Xenia blocked Justin's number. She had also stopped returning to the campus for classes since then.

Noelle looked down on men like Justin—mommy's boys who had zero self-accountability. "Please don't spout such nonsense. I have nothing to do with the Liddell family."
