After Noelle had spoken, Johnny's expression changed drastically. Panic was written all over his face.

Noelle coldly continued, "I explained everything earlier. But since you insist on spreading rumors, don't blame me for not showing mercy."

Scott quickly stepped in to smooth the tension. "Journalism Club published false information, so you must apologize to Noelle."

It was only now that Johnny realized how serious things were. "I know I messed up, Noelle. I'll delete the post right away and issue a formal clarification."

"Good. Don't ever write baseless slander again. Karma's a bitch."

Words were silent blades. They drew no blood yet cut deeper than steel.

Johnny was too ashamed to respond, but he knew that if Noelle exposed everything, he'd be done for. He'd never want to be expelled.

Averie seemed unconvinced. "Why are you so scared of her?"

"If you hadn't given me those pictures and told me you saw Noelle hugging some older man in a luxury car, I would never have written any of it, would I?" Johnny snapped.

Noelle turned to Averie and said, "Do you know that secretly taking pictures and spreading rumors are crimes?"

"I just couldn't stand you. You're always pretending to be high and mighty when you're just some cheap woman getting everything you want through men.

"You went on stage sharing your success story today. Please, you should be up there teaching how to seduce sugar daddies."

After Averie said so, the nearby students began whispering.
