Chapter 319 I Can’t
The driver glanced back. “Sir, we’re here.”
A crack showed on Henry’s face.

He pushed the door open and stepped out, his long legs hitting the ground.
Before closing the door, he couldn’t help turning back and give Amelia one last look.
She still didn’t look at him.
Bang!
The door shut. The smile on Henry’s face finally fell apart.
The scene… didn’t go the way he imagined.
Inside the car.

Only after making sure Henry was completely out of sight did Lily squeal with joy. She hugged the signed doll and waved it in front of Amelia. “My assistant is going to freak out when she sees this!”
Amelia looked at her and couldn’t help smiling.
Then Lily pulled out her phone, checked the map fast, and leaned forward. “Please turn left at the next corner and stop there.”
She turned back to Amelia to explain. “I just checked. There’s a food hall near this hotel. It’s even livelier than Southgate Food Hall. Let’s get off here.”
“Okay.” Amelia nodded and paid.
They got out of the car. As they walked, Lily teased her in a playful tone. “Wow, look at you. So loyal to Mason. A superstar sat right next to you, and you barely said a word.
“He even took off his mask. That face–wow. Deadly. And I swear, he looked pretty interested in you. If you’d asked for his number, I bet he would’ve given it.”
The smile on Amelia’s face froze for a second.
She shook her head. “I can’t.”
“Why not?” Lly asked, confused. “What’s wrong with having one more handsome friend?”
Amelia stayed quiet for a moment. She looked at the neon lights flashing in the distance and spoke softly. “He looks… a bit like Ethan. From a few years ago.”
“Oh, so that’s why–wait!” Lily’s voice shot up, then dropped right away as she remembered something. “You mean… he looks like Ethan, that trash ex of yours?!”
Amelia didn’t answer. She just nodded.

Chapter 3191 Can’t
Finished
Lily had been sitting in the front and hadn’t noticed before, but now that Amelia said it, she could see it too.
She sighed. When she looked at Amelia again, her eyes were full of pity.
“Yeah, that’s a deal breaker. You finally got divorced. You don’t need someone who looks like your ex to mess with your head again.”
Talking like that, the two of them walked side by side into the food hall. Their figures soon disappeared into the busy crowd.
They didn’t notice that not far away, a tall figure was standing still.
Henry had come back.
And he had heard every single word of that conversation.
So that’s the reason.
Henry slowly broke down what he had just heard.
She had warned him. After seeing his real face, she didn’t warm up at all. Instead, she pulled even farther away, avoiding him like he was dangerous.
All the things he couldn’t figure out before finally made sense.
It wasn’t playing hard to get. It wasn’t a game.
It was because the face he was so proud of looked like her ex–husband.
She wasn’t teasing him. She truly… didn’t like him.
A wave of frustration hit him, stronger than anything he’d felt before. Henry let out a low laugh.
In the dark night, his eyes suddenly lit up.
He licked his dry lips.
This time, he was genuinely more interested in her.
Amelia and Lily ate their fill and headed back to the hotel from the busy food hall.
Once they stepped inside, the buzz outside was gone. All that was left was fatigue.
The moment Lily walked in, she kicked off her heels and collapsed onto the couch. “I’m dead tired!”
Amelia gave a quiet hum and set her bag on the cabinet by the door. She looked worn out.
She pulled out her phone. The screen lit up and stopped on her chat with Mason.
She hesitated, wondering if she should tell him she was back at the hotel.
But he was probably busy too.
Thinking that, Amelia turned off the screen, set the phone on the nightstand, grabbed her pajamas, and

walked toward the bathroom.
“I’m going to shower first,” she said to Lily.
“Go ahead.” Lily was happily scrolling on her phone, waving her hand without looking up.
The bathroom door closed. Soon, the sound of running water filled the room.
Lily kept scrolling through her phone out of boredom. Then her screen lit up. Tim was calling.
Her eyes shifted. She answered right away. “It’s so late. Why are you calling?”
Tim laughed on the other end. “Just checking in. I wanted to see how your trip’s going.”
Finished
“It’s only day one. What do you expect?” Lily replied lazily. “We walked around old town and ate some snacks. Same old stuff.” Then her tone changed. She lowered her voice, sounding secretive. “But something exciting did happen today.”
“Oh yeah? What happened?”
Lily went on to tell him everything about Amelia and Henry.
Just as she expected, Tim gasped on the other end. “So Amelia really ditched the guy halfway through?”
