“What?!” Derek shot up the moment he heard that.

This news enraged him even more than the thought of Ethan taking the inheritance.

The phone rang only twice before it was answered.

Hannah paused, choosing her words.

“While Derek was locked up, Fiona’s will was already read with a lawyer present.”

“What?!” Celia shrieked, her voice nearly cracked. “How could it be that fast?!”

Ignoring their shock, Hannah stayed calm and laid out the facts. “Ethan is still holding Fiona’s shares in Rowe Group in trust. He’ll decide when it’s the right time to distribute them. All her income is going into a new family trust. The main family members will get monthly living allowances based on their shares.”

“What about Derek? Did Fiona leave him anything special?” Celia asked, her voice shaky, clinging to the tiniest hope.

“No,” Hannah said firmly, crushing that hope completely. “Derek didn’t get anything extra in the will. From what I know, the portion he gets from the trust is the smallest one–just enough for basic living costs

“This is insane!” Derek shouted, trembling with anger. He pointed at the phone. “That old hag was b till the very end! I’m her real son!”

Hannah let him rant until his voice finally weakened before speaking again.

“Derek, yelling won’t change anything. The will is final and notarized. Legally, it’s airtight.
