Chapter 472 She Arrives
“Derek, getting mad won’t help. You know Ethan is stubborn, but…”

Hannah shifted her tone. “There are always exceptions. Haven’t you seen it clearly from this incident? In the Rowes, the only person who can truly influence Ethan and make him change his mind is Amelia.
“As for how you use that, that’s up to you.”
She ended the call without waiting for a reply.
Listening to the busy tone, she smirked.
Good thing she’d stayed alert and overheard Ethan’s conversation with His assistant. She’d learned the details of the will from a Rowe relative.
Derek had brought Celia and Nolan back for money.
Now that Hannah had pushed Amelia right into their line of sight, they were bound to make a move.
All she had to do was stay hidden and fan the flames, then her chance would come.
Hannah looked in the mirror and smiled. She appeared calm, confident, and victorious.
Meanwhile, Amelia had no clue the storm heading her way was already brewing.
The driver Mason had arranged arrived quickly.
Around noon, the car entered Eldoria.
Amelia told him to go straight to the Rowe Estate.
From a distance, she could see the tall gates and sweeping eaves draped in funeral decorations.
White silk fluttered gently in the wind, carrying a suffocating stillness.
The scene outside the estate was even more chaotic.
Although the news of Fiona’s death hadn’t been officially announced yet, the media had clearly caught wind of it. Over a dozen news vans from different outlets clogged the road leading to the estate.
Cameras with long lenses were trained on the tightly shut red gates, all hoping to land an exclusive.
Ethan had clearly prepared for that.
A line of bodyguards formed a wall, keeping all reporters behind them.
Amelia felt a headache coming on.
With her current status, entering through the front gate would guarantee tomorrow’s headlines.
She told the driver to stop at a more hidden corner, then called Ethan.

After a long ring, he picked up, the background noisy with overlapping voices.
“Hello?”
“It’s Amelia. I’m outside the estate. There are too many reporters at the front gate. I can’t get in.”
There was a brief silence, as if he hadn’t expected her to arrive so quickly.
Then Ethan just said, “Wait there.”
The call ended.
Amelia stood there holding her phone for about five minutes.
Finally, the back door in the distance opened.
Ethan walked out.
He was dressed in a black suit, his entire presence wrapped in heavy grief.
Amelia followed him inside.
Along the long corridor, white mourning drapes hung on both sides.
Everything looked the same as she remembered, yet the overwhelming white made it feel completely unfamiliar.
Ethan walked ahead. His broad back looked oddly lonely in the dim hallway.
Neither of them spoke.
Thinking about the reporters outside, Amelia almost regretted agreeing to attend Fiona’s funeral as the granddaughter–in–law.
They were already divorced.
If her photos leaked out, who knew what chaos it would cause?
She took a deep breath, quickened her pace, and caught up to him.
