Chapter 611 Going With You
“Alright, I’ll wait for your update,” Amelia replied obediently.
She knew that Mason had said that out of concern and a desire to protect her.
But what Mason was thinking went far beyond that.
In his view, the project itself was probably fine.
He knew Tim’s way of doing things, and there was no way he would gamble with the company’s interests or Amelia’s safety.
But the thought of Amelia going abroad alone for work…
Just imagining her in a foreign country, unfamiliar with everything, facing a group of strangers and handling complicated matters on her own, made his chest tighten inexplicably.
No.
He couldn’t rest easy.
What if something went wrong?
It would be a regret he’d carry for the rest of his life.
“Perfect timing,” he said, as if deciding something. “I can also take this chance to arrange the things on my
end.”
“Hm?” Amelia looked at him, puzzled.
Mason leaned down and pressed a gentle kiss to her lips, the smile in his eyes deepening.
“I’ll go with you.”
The next day.
Mason followed behind Amelia as he stepped into the domain of her career.
It was his first time appearing so openly at the Stardale Group during working hours. Employees passing by cast curious and admiring glances at him, only to quickly lower their heads when they met his slightly cold gaze, retreating to frenzied discussions on their work chats instead.
“Is Mr. Everett here for an inspection today?”
“Inspection? Didn’t you see him sticking right behind Ms. Harlow? That’s called declaring sovereignty!”
“My god, that face is unreal. Standing next to Ms. Harlow, it’s like a high–society drama come to life!”
The whispers around them fell on deaf ears.
Inside Tim’s office, it seemed he had already anticipated Mason’s visit. A thick stack of neatly arranged

“Knew you wouldn’t be at ease unless you came in person,” Tim said with a knowing tease as he pushed a freshly brewed coffee toward him.
Mason ignored the joke and directly picked up the project file, his long fingers flipping through the pages with precision.
His expression was focused and serious. Every page, every clause, was examined meticulously.
The materials were indeed flawless.
The partner company’s background, qualifications, and even the detailed information about the classmate who introduced the project were all clearly laid out.
That classmate specialized in a highly niche interdisciplinary field, one that had little overlap with Mason’s circle, but aligned much more closely with Tim’s.
Everything made sense. There wasn’t a single flaw to be found.
“Are you done?” Tim asked leisurely. “Feel reassured now?”
He paused, then added, “Lily’s pregnancy symptoms have stabilized recently. I talked to her last night, and she fully supports me accompanying Amelia on this trip. After all, it’s a foreign country, and having one more person means more support. So don’t worry, Mr. Everett. I’ll make sure to bring your girlfriend back safe and sound.”
Hearing that Tim would also be going, Mason finally relaxed.
He trusted him as much as he trusted another version of himself.
“Thanks,” he said simply, closing the file.
“No need to be polite with me.” Tim smiled, patting his shoulder.
With the matter settled, the weight in Mason’s heart finally lifted.
He stood and walked to Amelia’s office, where she was sitting at her desk, handling emails.
Wrapping his arms around her from behind, he rested his chin lightly against her shoulder, his gaze falling on the dense Eldorian on her screen. “Oh, right, there’s something else,” he said softly. “My grandmother just called. The dinner has been moved up to today.”
Amelia’s fingers paused over the keyboard. She turned her head, puzzled. “Wasn’t it supposed to be in a few days? Why the sudden change?”
“It’s Pedro’s idea,” Mason replied calmly. “Grandma is just passing along the message. That person’s intentions aren’t clear. If you don’t want to go, we won’t. I can handle it alone.”
A warmth spread through Amelia’s chest.
After a moment of thought, she realized that since Pedro was currently quite close with Beatrice, chances were Beatrice would also be there.

If she didn’t go, with Beatrice’s ability to twist the truth, who knew how many accusations she’d fabricate in front of Wilda?
Rather than being passively attacked, it would be better to face it head–on, and see exactly what they were planning.
