Chapter 652 Amelia’s Analysis
Even faced with both of their objections, Amelia didn’t waver.
Gently, she squeezed Mason’s hand, telling him not to worry, before she looked up at the agitated Ethan.
She gently pressed her hand to her chest, her eyes reflecting the relentless determination of a true creator.
“You don’t understand. When I saw that dress, it felt like everything I thought I knew about design, and every limitation I’d struggled with for years, was suddenly shaken. It was like… something struck my soul. Walking away from it would be harder for me to accept than facing whatever Hannah has planned.”
“But it’s just a design! Your safety is the most important!” Ethan’s voice was low and pressed. He couldn’t understand this kind of artistic pursuit. As far as he was concerned, Amelia was practically throwing herself right into the line of fire.
Amelia looked at Ethan for a moment longer before she nodded, her face regaining its composure.
“I know. You’re right. This may very well be a part of Hannah’s scheme.”
She admitted, “At first, that thought crossed my mind, so I wanted to turn it down.”
At this point, Amelia’s tone shifted, and her eyes shone with intelligence and insight.
“Think about it. Demi is her biological mother. Why would Hannah go to such lengths to return to Lenny’s side? What is she really after? Her place in the family. She needs Lenny’s approval. She needs him to pour all the love and guilt he still carries for his late wife onto the daughter he thought he’d lost. And if that’s the case, wouldn’t she want the fashion show for Demi Jewell to succeed more than anyone else? It’s the perfect chance to prove herself and secure her position in her father’s eyes.”
Amelia’s analysis left both Ethan, who had been emotionally charged, and Mason, who usually wore a stern expression, momentarily stunned.
They had only seen the danger, rather than looking at the logic behind it.
Amelia continued, “Mr. Jewell built his company from the ground up. He’s no fool. In fact, he’s probably sharper than most people. If Hannah tried to use this show to trap me, and something went wrong at an event so important to his late wife, do you really think he’d let it slide? If he investigated and the trail led back to her, wouldn’t he be forced to reconsider his long–lost daughter and whether she’s truly his biological child? Would it even be worth it for Hannah to risk exposing herself for a trap that might not even work?”

What exactly is Hannah after? Amelia wondered.
