Kade shrugged. “She saw someone she knew. Ran off to socialize.” She’d tried to convince Kade to go with her, but he needed a moment alone, so he had made up an excuse about his shoes hurting his feet.

“What?” Kade sat up straighter. “They’re siblings?”
