Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 766

Given the magnitude of the incident at the Harper family, it was impossible for the heir of the Moore Group—Irene’s ex-husband—to remain unaware.

Even though he was now her former spouse, whether any lingering feelings remained was anyone’s guess.

The thought of how Georgia’s life-threatening ultimatum had once forced her to spare Irene made Ariana’s eyes glint with icy resentment.

She had no idea why Bran had asked to meet her today. If it was about that incident, then she had nothing more to say. A two-year suspended sentence was the absolute limit of her mercy.

Surprisingly, Bran found this revelation intriguing. In families like theirs, sibling relationships were rarely warm. Brothers and sisters often competed for parental resources, turning each other into rivals.

In many cases, siblings treated one another worse than strangers. But Bran had grown up without any brothers or sisters, so perhaps that was why he felt no hostility toward this suddenly emerging younger sister.

In fact, Bran noticed the sudden chill in Ariana’s demeanor and raised an eyebrow slightly, wondering how he might have offended her. *Yes, my sister*, he thought. He was now completely certain—this young woman was his biological sister. Yesterday, during a blood transfusion, he obtained a sample of her blood. The DNA test confirmed it: she was truly his sister, the daughter of his father and Aunt Kendra... no, she was his mother’s child. Instead of feeling uneasy, he found himself looking forward to knowing her.

"Black coffee is quite bitter. Not many people enjoy it plain," Bran remarked gently.

"But if you savor it slowly, you’ll discover a unique sweetness," Ariana replied softly. Then, lifting her gaze to meet his, she spoke deliberately, "President Bran, you didn’t invite me here today just for coffee, did you?"

Bran smiled faintly, a hint of amusement in his eyes. "Of course not."

Ariana said, "Go ahead then."

Seeing the serious expression on Ariana’s face, Bran became less casual himself. His demeanor grew more earnest as he revealed a hint of sincerity. "I’ve heard about the incident where Irene, the eldest daughter of the Harper Group, set the fire. I was told that not only was Mrs. Stone harmed, but your daughter was also injured to varying degrees. It truly saddens me."

Ariana pressed her lips together, her eyes unwavering as she replied, "So, what is it you’re trying to say, President Bran?"

Bran frowned.

He studied Ariana’s calm expression and finally noticed the faint chill and hostility in her eyes. While he could understand wariness toward a stranger, where did this coldness and animosity come from?

Narrowing his eyes slightly, Bran said softly, "It seems Mrs. Stone has some misunderstanding about me."

Ariana shook her head. "You’re overthinking it, President Bran."

Bran chuckled wryly. "Alright, if you say there’s none, then there’s none. Still, I hope you don’t misinterpret my intentions. The reason I asked to meet you today isn’t solely about business with President Stone. There’s also a personal matter."

Ariana nodded, her eyes showing no trace of surprise. She fixed her gaze on Bran and asked, "Is it about Irene?"

"Irene?" Bran was taken aback.

Ariana lowered her long lashes, her tone neutral and unreadable. "I’m well aware that you and Ms. Harper were once married. So, is the personal matter you mentioned related to her? If that’s the case, I’m afraid we have nothing further to discuss. I’m grateful for the blood you donated to me yesterday. If there’s ever anything you need in the future, I’ll do my best to help. But that doesn’t mean I can forgive everything because of it."

Bran was stunned.

Ariana’s gaze remained clear and steady, neither submissive nor arrogant.

Ariana: "..."

Ariana silently observed Bran as he continued his story, barely resisting the urge to interrupt and tell him to stop. It was the first time she’d heard someone tell a story so dryly—it completely killed any desire to listen further. Clearly, the heir of the Moore Group wasn’t exactly skilled at storytelling.

To be honest, Bran was feeling rather desperate himself.

He’d spent a long time carefully organizing his thoughts, only to deliver them in this stilted manner. He had never been a man of many words, and being put on the spot to tell a story was truly pushing his limits.

And so, about halfway through the tale, even Bran found he could no longer continue.

They stared at each other in silence for what felt like an eternity.

Ariana finally broke the tension with a tentative suggestion: "How about... You just skip to the ending?"

Buran: "..."

Luckily, only the two of them were present. Had anyone else witnessed the scene—the famously sharp and formidable heir to the Moore empire, a man few dared to cross in the business world, looking so utterly flustered—they would have been rolling with laughter.

Buran fell quiet for three long seconds.

He had to admit his sister made a fair point. Silently abandoning his attempt at storytelling, he cut straight to the chase. "I assume you already know about your origins?"
