Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 804

After dinner, Ariana didn’t let Kiara leave but instead arranged for her to stay overnight at the Stone Family residence. Kiara couldn’t very well refuse, and considering how long it had been since her last visit, she agreed.

That evening, Ariana and Kiara discussed the company project in detail.

Though Kiara wasn’t entirely familiar with all the intricacies, her refusal had to be for a good reason.

So Ariana wanted to hear her out.

"Actually… It’s not that I’ve guessed anything in particular," Kiara said earnestly. "It’s just that this project was brought in by Zoey and Second Uncle. Sister Ariana, even though I’m not deeply involved in the inner workings of the White family, I can still see how much Second Uncle resents and despises you and Uncle. Given that, I just don’t think we should agree to this project."

Hearing this, Ariana couldn’t help but smile faintly. "Oh? Judging business matters based on personal grudges—is that something I taught you?"

She knew all too well how Nicholas and his daughter operated.

But still.

The White Corporation was, after all, their family’s business. It was unlikely they would sabotage their own project. For Kiara to reject it outright without even considering collaboration might provoke dissatisfaction among the board members and further fuel Nicholas and his daughter’s animosity.

That wouldn’t bode well for her future succession to the White family.

Kiara blinked, then quickly shook her head in clarification. "No, no, that’s not what I meant! Sister Ariana, listen—the project was proposed by a company calling itself Future Tech. The collaboration would require at least 70% of the White Corporation’s capital. While the returns look promising on paper, if anything goes wrong midway, or if the other party pulls out..."

She paused, her expression grave. "The blow to the White Corporation would be devastating. It could even lead to bankruptcy."

Although Kiara didn't care for Nicholas and his daughter, she wasn't the type to let personal grudges interfere with business. She simply felt that since this project had been recommended by her second uncle, she needed to scrutinize it carefully.

And scrutinize she did—uncovering some irregularities in the process.

On the surface, the project appeared beneficial in every way. But... but that was only if you didn’t factor in the unlikely scenario of Future Tech pulling out of the investment.

Granted, Future Tech backing out midway would be an idiotic move, given the hefty breach-of-contract penalties. But what if they were willing to go down with the ship? Okay, maybe she was overthinking it—but contingencies like this still needed consideration.

Upon hearing this, Ariana couldn’t help but raise an eyebrow.

She pondered silently for a moment before responding, "Alright, I understand. I’ll go to the company tomorrow and arrange a meeting with Future Tech’s representative." Truthfully, Kiara’s concerns didn’t hold much water.

If she were to present this reasoning so bluntly at a board meeting, it wouldn’t earn her any understanding—only skepticism from the directors.

Because in business, every project carries risk.

Plenty of companies pour the majority of their capital into joint ventures like this. Playing it too safe would only lead to stagnation. Kiara’s arguments would just give the board an excuse to dismiss her as young and inexperienced.

They might even express outright disappointment.

Fortunately, she had voiced these concerns to no one but Ariana herself.

So instead of crushing Kiara’s confidence, Ariana simply acknowledged the possibility—however remote—that such a scenario could occur. After all, there was no apparent bad blood between Future Tech and the White Group that would drive them to mutual destruction.

Still, since Kiara had raised the issue, it wouldn’t hurt to investigate further.

The villa stood three stories tall.

Lucian, Kevin, and Carson all lived on the third floor.

Their rooms were adjacent to one another, including the youngest, Grace. At the moment, Carson and Kevin were in Grace's room. She was much healthier now—no longer the fragile, skeletal thing she had been at birth, as if the slightest touch might shatter her.

The price is only 1/4 of what others charge
