Rebirth Revenge Is Everything (Ariana) novel Chapter 803

"Yes, of course!" Carson replied obediently.

Carson adored Kiara, and every time she visited, he was overjoyed. Lucian and Kevin shared the same fondness for her, though Lucian, being more reserved, didn’t express it as openly as Carson did.

"Did something happen at the company?" Ariana asked Kiara, who was happily playing with Carson and the others.

Ariana understood Kiara’s temperament all too well.

If it wasn’t some issue with the White Corporation, then it had to be a major project she was unsure how to handle—hence why she’d come seeking advice. There was no other reason.

Kiara gave an embarrassed chuckle.

Then she said, "Yes, there’s a rather large project at the company recently. I... can’t shake the feeling that something’s off, but Second Uncle and Zoey seem to approve. What’s more, they’ve managed to convince most of the shareholders to agree as well."

Lately, Kiara had been performing exceptionally well, so Ariana had gradually reduced her presence at the company.

She wanted to subtly nurture Kiara’s independence.

Now, it seemed her approach had paid off. After hearing Kiara out, Ariana nodded thoughtfully. After a moment’s consideration, she said, "I’ll go to the White Corporation tomorrow." Without her approval, there was no way this project would be finalized.

Kiara immediately felt relieved. "Okay!"

With the matter settled, the tension that had been weighing on Kiara finally eased. She glanced at Ariana, then said sheepishly, "Well, Sister Ariana, I should probably head back now."

"Stay for dinner first," Ariana flatly refused.

Kiara had never been good at turning Ariana down, so when she insisted, Kiara could only relent. "Alright then..."

She felt a slight pang of disappointment.

Rawls had actually asked her out to dinner today.

But since Ariana had spoken up, she had no choice but to cancel on Rawls—maybe next time.

Just then, Lambert returned home.

He seemed visibly surprised to find a crowd gathered in the living room.

When his gaze landed on Kiara, his eyebrows twitched slightly, a flicker of understanding passing through his eyes. Only when Kiara visited did things ever get this lively. However, the presence of Jaxson in the living room was unexpected.

Kiara quickly stood up. "Brother-in-law," she greeted.

Lambert responded with a faint "Hmm." Without sparing her another glance, he turned to Ariana instead, giving her a meaningful look. Though confused, Ariana understood that Lambert had something to discuss.

So, after briefly reminding Kiara and Jaxson to make themselves at home, she followed Lambert upstairs.

Only after her sister and brother-in-law had disappeared upstairs did Kiara finally relax.

Whenever her brother-in-law was around, she always felt suffocated by the pressure. His presence alone was overwhelming. Honestly, she admired Ariana—if it were her, she wouldn’t even know how to handle being around him.

Jaxson glanced at Kiara and asked mildly, "Would you like something to drink?"

Kiara blinked, then shook her head with a smile. "No need, the maid already brought me tea earlier. Thanks, though."

Jaxson pressed his lips together. "No problem."

Meanwhile, Carson had quietly slipped into the kitchen to check what delicious dishes were being prepared for dinner. As for Kevin, he had been lost in thought ever since arriving home, his mind wandering who-knows-where. Lucian, observing his aunt and uncle, decided it was best not to interrupt their conversation and headed upstairs alone.

And then.

The spacious living room was suddenly left with only Jaxson and Kiara.

Kiara felt that if the awkward silence continued, she wouldn’t even know how to speak to him the next time they met. So she took the initiative, smiling as she said, “So… which high school do you go to? And what university are you planning to attend? I’m in my third year now—maybe I can give you some advice.”

The price is only 1/4 of what others charge
