Reborn To Stay Away From Him novel Chapter 4

This scene had played out countless times in her past life.

Whenever Edmund gave her a gift, Diana would always demand one just like it.

“We’re best friends. Everything has to be the same,” she would say.

Back then, Josephine had thought it was just a joke.

But she never imagined even her husband and child would be shared the same way.

“I’ve been the third wheel long enough. Lunch is on me today.”

Edmund’s gaze burned hotter and hotter. Without asking for her opinion, he pulled her into the restaurant.

The memory of them embracing before her death in her last life flashed again in her mind. A wave of nausea hit, and she bolted toward the bathroom.

Since that difficult labor, Josephine’s health had never fully recovered.

Her stomach was weak, and in caring for Stephen, she had developed chronic gastric problems.

She had barely straightened her clothes and returned to the restaurant when she saw Edmund holding Diana close from across the room.

“She went to throw up… is she pregnant with your child? How could you do this to me?”

Edmund brushed off her punch, nuzzling against her head.

Hiss-

A thick smell of gas hit her nose.

“Run! The gas tank’s leaking, and it’s on fire! Get out!”

In the chaos, someone knocked into Josephine from behind, sending her sprawling to the floor. She hit her head hard, and blood ran freely down her face.

The flaming gas tank roared behind her.

She called for Edmund but could only watch in shock as he walked out of the restaurant with Diana.

He didn’t even look back.

Bang-
