Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 132

Chapter 132

Third Person POV

“You’re in quite a pickle,” a voice drawled from the shadows of the dungeon, causing Marissa’s head to glance up sharply.

She knew that voice, knew that tone. For a moment, she felt puzzled, wondering what had made him come, unable to deny the small amount of hope that began to kindle inside her.

She’d been trapped in this fucking dungeon for hours. It was now dark, and the cell itself was disgusting, the smell of old blood in the air and nothing inside it except for a smelly old blanket and a threadbare mattress. She had never felt so disgusted in her life. This was all because she’d failed to kill Raven. How Raven had suddenly gotten a wolf she didn’t know and it had been unnerving to say the least, suddenly finding herself fighting another wolf, a white one far larger than her own.

Naturally, Raven had defeated her. It pissed Marissa off. She hated feeling weak and hated that Raven had managed to subdue her wolf so easily.

Him. The last person she’d expected to see, and yet here he was, smirking at her. She tried to hide her rising anger, knowing she needed him. If he hadn’t failed at killing Raven, she might not even be in this mess in the first place. This was also partly his fault. She glared at him, noting the amusement in his eyes. Bastard was enjoying her discomfort.

“What are you doing here?” she hissed.

She could feel herself becoming more and more furious the longer she sat there on the hard ground.

If he’d come to mock her, she was going to lose her temper.
