Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 156

Chapter 156

Raven POV

Two weeks later: I looked at myself in the mirror, twisting every which way, unable to hold back my happiness as I looked at the beautiful black wedding dress that clung tightly to my bodice and then flowed down to my ankles, corset-style ribbons criss-crossed on the back of it. I was a princess, a dark force to be reckoned with/The dress was exactly as I’d wanted it, fitting like a glove, and my face glowed with excitement as I twirled around, the dress billowing around me.

Today was going to be perfect. Like a fairytale. Happiness consumed me. By the end of the evening, I would offically become Hades’ wife and the recognized Luna of this pack. My father and brother had worked hard to make this day come true, and I knew without a doubt that they would make this day memorable. A memory to

cherish forever.

“Soon,” I murmured, wringing my hands together, nervous as the auspicious time drew nearer.

It felt strange, being at my father’s pack, but also right in a sense. I was here, in my mother’s resting place, surrounded by her memory. I could almost feel her spirit watching over me, and maybe that was wishful thinking, but for today, it comforted me in ways I could never imagine. Tonight I will visit her grave and tell her all about the wedding and the reception, including her in my special day. I knew my father would appreciate it. He often did the same, telling his beloved everything, speaking as though she was still right there beside him. I doubted my father would ever find somebody else that he loved more than my mother; his commitment to her was so strong that it was reminiscent of Romeo and Juliet.

An omega came in, bearing two glasses of champagne. I accepted one from her, my stomach twisting in knots as my nervousness grew stronger. This was a welcome reprieve and way to calm my nerves before they became too overwhelming.

“Congratulations, Luna Raven. I hope the day goes smoothly for you,” The omega smiled warmly at me.

“Thank you,” I breathed and laughed, holding up the glass, “I can’t tell you how much I appreciate this right now. You’re a lifesaver,” I joked, making her laugh.

“Oh, it’s nothing,” she said quickly, “I thought you might need something to calm your nerves.”
