Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 250

Chapter 250

Marissa POV

“Damien, I don’t think this is a good idea. She hates me. I doubt she’ll spill anything while I’m here,” I protested as I stared at the woman tied up in the cell.

“You deserve answers as much as anyone, and honestly,” he stared at me, “I think she won’t be able to resist letting something slip while you’re here.”

I stared at Alice, looking so fragile as she sat in a chair, silver chains wrapped tightly around her, her hands cuffed behind her back, her head staring at the floor.

He slapped her awake, and she jolted, her eyes widening as she looked up at Damien and instantly realized she was trapped.

“Damien, what is this?” she whimpered, struggling against the chains, “what are you doing? What is this?”

“Shut it,” Damien snarled as she went white, “we know you’re working with MaryAnne Sinclair. I want to know when she intends to attack and what you two are up to.”

She laughed. It was chilling and made the hairs on the back of my neck stand on end. Her eyes slid to me, and I flinched at the pure contempt in her gaze.

“I should have known you would choose this bitch over me. If she’d died like she was supposed to, then I never would have had to take drastic measures. You can still save the pack Damien, all you have to do is accept me as your mate,” she smiled coldly, “and let me kill this slut.”

Another slap across the face.

“How did you get in contact with MaryAnne?” I asked quietly, “How did you find out she was still alive?”

Alice grinned at me, enjoying herself despite the circumstances.

“Worried are you, Marissa? I didn’t need to contact her; she contacted me,” she giggled, “and offered me the chance to be rid of you once and for all. She assured me that I could have Damien if I helped her, and well,” she exhaled, “I didn’t take much convincing.”

“When is she planning to attack? You said one week on the phone, but what day? What time?” Damien growled.

“As if I would tell you,” she scoffed, “you had the chance to prevent this Damien, but you made the wrong choice.”

I didn’t think. I blindly grabbed the nearest weapon, which happened to be a dagger, and plunged it into her thigh as she threw back her head and screamed.

“You bitch,” she howled, “you’re going to pay for that.”

I twisted the knife and caused more pain. She struggled against her bonds, but it was futile. Rage like I’ve never felt before swept over me, and all I saw was red.

I pulled it out and then stabbed her in the ribs without remorse.

“Speak,” I hissed as Damien stood there silently observing me. “Others will die otherwise.”

“Good riddance,” she coughed and smirked at me.

I exhaled and then sliced her arm, watching her skin bubble and burn. She screamed.

“Get me some water and put silver in it,” I commented quietly.

It was time to take drastic measures.

Her eyes widened in panic.

“If she doesn’t talk, then we drown her over and over again. Her face will burn right off,” I said nonchalantly, and she’ll still be alive but unrecognizable.”

“No,” she gasped, shaking her head frantically, “don’t. I’ll speak, I’ll tell you everything, just don’t do that,” she was crying now.

I stood there, knife in hand, watching her with damning eyes.

“The night of the full moon,” she blurted out, “MaryAnne plans on attacking then. I was supposed to put sedatives in the drinks when you celebrated the annual anniversary of the pack so that the warriors would be asleep and the pack would be vulnerable.”

“The annual anniversary?” I turned to Damien, perplexed.

“It’s a party we have every year. Just casual, a bonfire, alcohol, and pack members celebrating together. It’s not fancy, but it’s a good time and allows everybody to relax, including the omegas,” he answered, his jaw clenching.” I forgot it was this weekend.”

“You would betray your own pack like that?” I said, stunned as Alice smirked at me.

“I would do anything to make Damien mine. I’ve loved him since we were children” she shrieked, “and I was so close to convincing him that I would make the perfect Luna, and then you came along!”
