Chapter 275
To my surprise, Aaron proved to be lethal. He effectively mobilized two men immediately and then a third without even breaking a sweat.
Every movement was precise, calculated, and designed to inflict maximum harm.
I winced as another man went sprawling, his head hitting the floor and several teeth flying onto the ground.
That looked like it hurt.
“What the fuck is this?” Jacob’s voice wasn’t as cocky now as he glared at his men, “There are ten of you and only one of him!” he snarled, “Take him down already.”
He stood up and forced me to my feet, his hand tightening around the chain. The chain was made of aluminium instead of silver to prevent being burnt.
Another two men were taken down.
Now there were five remaining. The room was a blur as the men attacked, arms flying, legs kicking, and at the centre of it all was Aaron, who remained unfazed by the number of men surrounding him.
My mate was brutal and stronger than I had ever imagined possible.
If he were this strong in human form, then what would he be like in wolf form?
I shuddered.
“You useless fools!” Jacob roared, “Can’t even do one simple task!”
There were only two men left against Aaron. Jacob immediately recognized he was in danger and began to drag me out of the room as I flailed and tried to claw at him.
Slam.
He smacked my head into the wall, stunning me, and then dragged me outside, his breathing heavy, his movements hurried.
“As long as I have you, he won’t dare to harm me,” he blustered.
I sneered at him as he forced me to stumble along with him.
“He’s not going to stop Jacob. Your days are numbered!”
|_ He slapped me hard. I felt blood trickling at the corner of my mouth as I glared at him.
“So fiesty,” he growled, “I wonder if you’ll stay like this when I get my hands on you. I won’t let him have you,
he snapped, “even if I have to flee this pack, even if it means no damn alliance, you’re mine. I refuse to be beaten.”
“I’m not a prize, you sicko!” I snapped back, trying to pull on the chain and force him to stop, “An Alpha abandoning his pack for somebody like me? Are you insane?”
“Maybe I am,” he thundered, his eyes constantly darting over his shoulder, “this pack is worthless anyway. We can create a new one. A better one. I have connections and family. It was about time I left this shithole behind.”
“You’ve lost it,” I whispered, staring at him in shock, “I’m not worth all this.”
“Maybe not, but I refuse to let that bastard have you. Cocky, arrogant, son of a bitch!”

I spotted the car he was dragging me to and realized the moment he had me, I was done.
1 wouldn’t let that happen.
I fell forward and made my body go limp.
He let go of the chain in surprise, and I fell hard to the floor.
He quickly grabbed the chain again, but I kept myself planted on the floor, desperate to keep myself from getting into the vehicle.
He was stronger, though, and I was losing the fight.
He yanked me up as though I weighed nothing.
“Little bitch, I’m going to enjoy breaking you in. I wonder if your mate will feel every bit of pain you go through.” he threatened.
“No, I won’t go,” I screamed, beginning to sob and claw, “you can’t have me. Let me go!”
“Let her go, you bastard!” A voice thundered from behind us.
Slowly, we turned.
Aaron stood there, his hands clenched into fists, his clothes and hair splattered with blood. He looked like he’d been in a war, and the glint in his eyes and the clenching of his jaw only made him look even more frightening.
“Don’t move any closer, Beta, unless you want me to kill her,” Jacob sneered.
“Coward. Using a woman as your own personal shield. Are you too afraid to face me man to man?” Aaron challenged, his eyes fixated on me.
