Rejected, Abused, I Fall for the Forbidden Alpha (by Riley Scott) novel Chapter 277

Chapter 277

This pack would be better off without him, although I doubted they would last reach bange withuset

I tore into him and listened to his howls of pain as they filled the air

I had no compassion, no flicker of sudden conscience.

Just bloodlust and the desire for revenge against this man who dared to go after my mate

I snapped his neck.

His body slumped.

I climbed off without ceremony and sneered over my shoulder.

It hadn’t been much of a fight. I was almost disappointed by how easy it had been.

I shifted, striding straight to my open-mouthed mate.

“Are you hurt?” I scanned her for injuries as she blushed bright red.

It was only then that I remembered I was nude.

One of my men hastily handed me some fresh clothes. We had spares in the trunks of our cars, and he must have run to get some during the fight.

I hastily donned them as my mate slid her eyes away.

So cute. So innocent.

I turned back and my eyes narrowed on the collar, which was still locked around her throat. A low growl erupted

from me, and she flinched as I grabbed hold of it.

“What are you?” she gasped.

1 didn’t waste words.

I broke the collar with my bare hands and then flung it and the chain away, sending it flying right into the trees.

Tears welled in her eyes.

“Thank you,” she said hoarsely, putting a hand to her throat.

I stared at her, dazed.

She flushed and shifted awkwardly on her feet. It was only then that I noticed she was injured. There was a long, deep scratch on her ankle that was bleeding profusely.

“I’m Asher,” she began, and then squeaked as I promptly scooped her off her feet and held her tight.

“I can walk,” she protested, her voice rising in alarm.

“You’re injured,” I said flatly, narrowing my eyes at her, “so I will carry you.”

My tone brooked no arguments.

The moment I touched her, my body instantly calmed, and a soothing warmth spread through me while my wolf grew content.

“Where are you taking me? Aaron,” she cried, and my heart swelled just hearing my name drip from those sweet lips of hers.

I wanted to hear her say it again.

“Home,” I afıswered calmly.

She frowned.

“This is my home,” she said, confused.

Home my ass. This pack was a wasteland and unfit for the likes of her.

“Not anymore. You’re coming back to the Shadow Pack with me. Why would you think I would leave my mate behind?” I challenged her.

“But…but, I’m not right for you. You’re a beta, and I’m just an omega. An omega who is a runt,” she whimpered.

Did she think that was enough to stop me? Hadn’t she realized I wasn’t that shallow?

“I don’t care. Runt, Bear, Sloth, fucking deer, I want you anyway. You think being a runt is enough to scare me off, “I scoffed as she fell silent, “think again.”

She had no answer to that.

I smirked to myself.

I put her in the car, and she settled against the door, her eyes wary as I climbed into the driver’s seat.

“Buckle in,” I warned.
