“Thank you for meeting with me, Luna Serene. I thought you’d never use the card,” he says.
“I didn’t want to, but I won’t be complete if I don’t know what my sister has done,” I told him.
We are sitting at a café outside the pack, on a little abandoned roadside.
“Did anyone see you coming here?” he asks, still looking around like a creep.
“No, I told my husband I was going to a meeting with my new workers,” I replied.
Zander and I have grown much closer over the past few months, and now, I think he trusts me a little more.
But now, he getting ready, putting everything in place for ritual to send Liana away.
I am just happy my sister is getting better despite what she did. But sad because Liana is a good child and we’ve grown closer despite Zander not having any knowledge about it.
I can’t believe it has almost been a year since I came back. Though I miss my life in London, I love it here now.
And with this little being growing inside me, I couldn’t be happier. It’s true-there is always light at the end of
the tunnel.
I gently rub my cute bump, which is showing through my summer bodycon dress.
“Congratulations, by the way,” he smiles, but it doesn’t reach his eyes.
“Thank you. I don’t have much time, Alpha Kins, so tell me what I need to know about my sister,” I say seriously. He nods before gulping.
“I am your sister Crystal’s real mate, and daughter she has with Zander isn’t his, it belongs to brother” he says, and I gasp.

“What… what are you talking about? Her mate died when she was sixteen. How…?” I ask, still
“She lied. I am her mate, and we did mate when she was sixteen and I had just turned eighteen. B me on the spot,” he says, looking away into the distance as if remembering their first meeting.
Flashback
Alpha Kins was roaming around a mall two packs away from his. He was still mad about not finding his mate even though he had turned eighteen three months ago.
He had now become the center of gossip in his pack. He couldn’t be labeled as the “mateless Alpha” –that couldn’t happen.
His parents were already looking for possible suitors for him if he didn’t find his mate by the end of the month.
The thought alone made him want to break something. Most of his friends and colleagues had already found

their mates and were living happy lives. Some were even expecting their first pups.
Goddess, he would do anything to find his mate.
He sighed and walked through the empty parking lot opposite the basketball court.
Suddenly, the smell of banana and salt water filled his nostrils, and his wolf went on high alert.
“Gang? What is it?” he asked urgently, looking for any sign of danger or a rogue.
“Mate!” Gang yelled in his head, almost causing a migraine.
“What… what?” he stuttered.
“Mate! Follow the scent-mate!” Gang growled, and so he followed the scent back to the basketball court.
There, he stopped in his tracks.
She was the most beautiful girl he had ever seen in his life.
Her brown hair flowed down to her waist in curls. She wore a beautiful summer dress that reached mid-thigh, showing off her beautifully toned legs.
“Mate! Mate is so pretty!” Gang purred.
“Mine,” he growled and ran toward her, engulfing her in a tight hug.
“Hey! Let go of me!” she yelled, trying to free herself from him.
He inhaled her scent, sighing in contentment before pulling back.
“Mine,” he growled softly, cupping her face. She stiffened. He gently kissed her, and by some miracle, she kissed him back.
Yes. She felt the attraction-the bond was already forming.
“You… you’re my mate?” she asked once they broke apart.
“Yes, my love. How old are you, darling?” he asked.
“Sixteen,” she said. That was why she wasn’t fully claiming him-her wolf hadn’t made an appearance yet.
“I am Alpha Matt Kins of the Black Knight Pack. Nice to meet you, love,” he said to the beauty.
“I am Crystal Gun of the White Moon Pack,” she said, and he smiled.
“Ma belle, I have been to White Moon Pack before. What are you doing here?” he asked.
Crystal said nothing but began to shake her head profusely.
“No… no, I can’t do this. I can’t be with you,” she cried.
“What… what do you mean? I am your mate. We are meant to be,” he told her.
“No… I can’t. I’m sorry,” she said, and he could see the resolve in her eyes.

No. She couldn’t do this. He loved her-even though they had just met.
“I, Crystal Gun, reject you, Alpha Kins, as my mate,” she said.
Pain shot through both of them, burning like fire.
“Why… why did you do this?” was the last thing he managed to say before staggering away.
Everything went blank as he reached the parking lot.
