Chapter 118 The Scullery Queen
Finished
He knew Silas Harrington was a beast. A few more minutes and he wouldn’t have put anything past him.
“Mr. Harrington, Amelia’s just a kid. She shouldn’t be playing tour guide. I’ll take over from here.”
Silas figured he already had Amelia in his pocket, so he shrugged off Alexander’s offer. “Forget it. Your sister and I already came to an agreement. See you inside.”
He gave Amelia one last disgusting look before waddling away.
Alexander was a man; he knew exactly what that look meant.
“Amelia, what did he say to you? What did you agree to?”
He grabbed her arms and shook her, his voice frantic with worry.
“You guys already sold me to the guy. Why act like you care now? It’s kind of insulting.”
Amélia shrugged him off, her tone so casual she might as well have been talking about the weather.
Seeing that blank look on her face made Alexander’s heart ache so much he could barely breathe.
The family sold her out, and she’s just… used to it? She’s actually given up?
“Amelia!” He gripped her wrists tighter. “I will never let you touch that man. I swear it!”
In his mind, Sebastian Sterling was a shark, but at least he was a high–end husband. Silas was just human garbage.
If he had to choose, he’d much rather see her with Sebastian than that monster Silas.
“I’m hungry. I’m going to get a snack. Let go.”
Amelia wasn’t in the mood for his drama. She yanked her hand away, glancing at her reddened wrist with a glare. “You trying to finish what the family started and kill me yourself?”
“I… I’m sorry… I was just scared!”
Amelia ignored him and headed straight for the kitchen.
The staff was in a frenzy, prepping for the gala. When Amelia walked in, they all acted like she was invisible, refusing to acknowledge her presence.
Amelia didn’t care. She walked over to the cabinet and swiped an entire row of plates onto the floor.
The sound of shattering porcelain echoed through the kitchen like a gunshot.
“What the hell is wrong with you?” a maid screamed, glaring at Amelia.
Amelia crossed her arms, leaning against the counter like the lady of the house. “Make me a coffee. Black. No sugar. Now.”

The maid opened her mouth to refuse, but Amelia cut her off. “If you didn’t learn your lesson last time, I’m happy to give you a refresher course in the backyard.”
The staff remembered the last beatdown and turned pale. They scrambled to get the coffee started.
Five minutes later, a steaming cup was placed in front of her. “Your coffee, Miss Amelia,” a maid stammered.
Amelia sighed, taking the cup. “I was actually looking forward to hitting someone today. You guys are too easy. Boring.”
The staff watched her walk away, exchange terrified looks.
Did she just admit that bullying us is her hobby? Is she even human?.
Amelia sipped her coffee and strolled through the foyer, heading for the stairs to the second–floor study.
Sophia was currently charming a group of socialites, the tension from earlier forgotten. She blocked Amelia’s path.
“Hey, Ameilia. Who’s the coffee for? I just saw Silas heading upstairs.”
Sophia covered her mouth, acting shocked. “Wait, I heard you guys were getting along great in the garden. Are you two actually…”
“Sophia, if you don’t stop talking, I’m going to wash your mouth out with a steel wool pad.”
Amelia’s words hit like a slap.
Every time I go upstairs, I run into this idiot. It’s like a curse. “I don’t have time for you. When the show starts later, try not to stand too close to the blast zone.”
You wouldn’t want to get any blood on that stolen dress.
