“Sebastian, aren’t you supposed to be a workhorse? You’re always at the office or out drinking. How are you in this kind of shape?”
Most CEOs were either walking beer bellies or beanpoles, but Sebastian was a literal work of art.
She couldn’t stop looking. She was hooked.
Sebastian hooked a finger under her chin, looking at her with raw affection. “You like what you see. Amelia?”
His voice was like velvet, making her head feel fuzzy.
I think I’m drunk on him…
Sebastian saw the look in her eyes and leaned in for a kiss.
It was just a light brush of the lips, a teaser,
He trailed his thumb over her bottom lip. “Amelia… let’s get engaged.”
Engaged?
Amelia snapped out of it. “Wait… what? Why now?”
“You saying no?” Sebastian challenged.
“No! I just… I haven’t even finished college yet.”
He said we’d wait until graduation. Why the sudden change of heart?
Sebastian stared at her for a long beat, then stood up and started dressing. The warmth was gone.
“Get up. Eat something.”
He was back to his stoic self, heading for the closet to grab a
fresh suit.
The suite was a two–room layout. The patient room was packed with high–end medical gear, while the outer area served as a living space complete with a sofa and a dining table. It was fully stocked with every amenity imaginable.
Amelia sighed. The big guy is pouting again. He’s so high–maintenance!
Over the next few days, Sebastian moved his entire office into her hospital suite. He handled everything personally, even insisting on helping her to the bathroom.
Amelia’s face was permanently red from the embarrassment. “I have a leg wound, Sebastian, I’m not paralyzed! I can pee by myself!”
Sebastian would just stand outside the door like a gargoyle. “Your balance is off. I’m helping.”

Chapter 185 The Bathroom Standoff
BANG!
She’d slam the door every single time.
S had been trying to reach her for days and was losing his mind. He’d sent a hundred messages with no reply; if he hadn’t hacked the hospital to see her with Sebastian, he’d have flown back to the country.
Sebastian had been gatekeeping her phone, refusing to let her have it.
He even gave her his phone to watch movies on.
Amelia was beyond confused.
There’s nothing on this thing. No contacts, no apps. How am I supposed to find any dirt on him?
Ryan eventually explained: “I handle the boss’s work phone and all the business contacts.”
His personal phone was a literal brick.
After days of begging and one very “productive” night of serving‘ her jealous fiancé, he finally caved and gave her phone back.
She logged into her private site and saw S’s wall of text.
Something felt off. The site required a specific code, but the ‘read‘ receipts looked weird.
Did Sebastian look at this?
No way. He’s not the type to snoop through a girl’s private messages.
The second she went online, S called her.
“Girl! You went off the grid! What happened? Why the hell are you in the hospital?”
Amelia gave him the rundown on the kidnapping, and he sounded like he was going to throw his phone through a wall.
“That son of a b*tch! I’m coming back to kill him myself!”
Amelia laughed, keeping her voice low. “Sebastian already has him ‘covered.‘ Don’t sweat it.”
Then S asked the question he’d been holding onto. “You really gonna marry this guy? He’s not just some CEO, Amelia. He’s deep, he’s cold, and he’s dangerous. Even I’d think twice before crossing him. Be careful.”
He’s not just a “main character” in a romance novel, Amelia. He’s a shark.
