“You’ve got the nerve to even say her name?” he snarled Guess I didn’t beat you hard enough before. How dare you frame Sophia and ruin her reputation? Are you even human?”

Typical. Even if Sophia had stripped naked and jumped into bed with the guy herself, the whole Bennett family would swear she was forced.

“Julian, are you Sophia’s little lapdog or what?” Amelia shot back. “You know exactly what happened. She walked into Matthew’s lounge room on her own.”

“Enough!” Julian roared. “Sophia is a sweet, innocent girl If you hadn’t schemed against her, she never would’ve done anything like that!”

He jabbed a finger at her. “You’re coming to the hospital with me right now. You’re going to tell Katherine this was all your doing. If you don’t, I’ll strangle you here on the spot.”

This was her own brother.

Back then, whenever Sophia got herself in trouble, Julia would whip her until she was covered in bruises.

Now he was ready to kill her?

“What about me?” Amelia asked quietly. “You really think Katherine will just let me go?”

Julian looked at her like she was trash. “You? Some country girl who crawled out of the gutter? Katherine will probably break your legs. You should be grateful–trading your worthless legs to save Sophia’s reputation.”

Amelia let out a cold laugh, eyes glittering with zero warmth.

“Fine,” she said. “Let’s go to the hospital.”

The hallway outside the fancy VIP hospital room was packed.

Reporters had cameras and lights set up everywhere, turning the whole corridor into a media circus. Katherine stood there with a squad of bodyguards, glaring daggers at Alexander.

Julian leaned in and hissed at Amelia, “When we get over there, you tell Katherine the truth–that this whole mess is your fault. Otherwise, the Bennetts are kicking you out for good.”

Amelia waved him off, annoyed. “Yeah, yeah. Just watch me handle it.”

She was definitely going to “explain” things… her way.

“Amelia’s here! It’s Amelia!”

The second the reporters spotted her, every camera swung in her direction.

Julian stepped forward first, trying to smooth things over with Katherine. “This is all a big misunderstanding. Amelia’s always been the wild one–he’s the reason everything blew up today.”

Julian’s expression went sour. “Sophia was framed! Amella set the whole thing up. I brought her here to confess everything.”

He shot Amelia a look. “Go on–tell Katherine it was all you.”

He let out a breath of relief. As long as Amelia took the fall, this nightmare would finally be over.

Who cared what happened to some gutter–trash like her? Sophia was the real Bennett princess–sweet, proper, perfect.

Amelia strode straight up to the reporters, pulled a stack of steamy photos from her jacket, and dropped the bomb.

“Yeah, that’s right! My dear sister Sophia has been sleeping with Matthew multiple times. They even got a hotel room a bunch of times. My brothers tried to force me to take the blame for her, but I’m too nice to lie to poor Katherine. I couldn’t live with myself, so I’m doing the right thing and turning her in!

“I, Amelia Bennett, am officially reporting my own sister Sophia, for cheating with Matthew.”

Her words hit the hallway like a match tossed into a gas tank–everything exploded.

“Oh, my God! Those are Sophia and Matthew’s bed pics

“Shoot it! Shoot it! This is tomorrow’s headline gold!”

“Amelia’s a total boss! She’s my new hero!”

Flashbulbs went off like crazy. Every reporter was snapping shots of the explicit photos in Amelia’s hands.

Of course, the guy in the pictures wasn’t really Matthew just some other rich heir Sophia had actually hooked up with. Amelia had swapped the face. Still true enough.

Katherine looked ready to burst into flames. She spun around, kicked the hospital room door open with one savage kick, and stormed inside.

“Sophia, you home–wrecking whore! We’re not done!”

Inside, Katherine’s screaming insults mixed with Sophia’s ear–piercing shrieks. The whole room sounded like a reality–TV meltdown.

By the time Julian realized what was happening, pure chaos had taken over.

“You animal!” he roared, lunging at Amelia with his hand raised.

She dodged easily and blinked at him with fake innocence. “Wha I’ve got more pictures of Sophia–want to see?”

From inside the room came Sophia’s blood–curdling scream, “Alexander, save me! Please!”
