Chapter 203 Dead to Me

“If she blows this up again, the family goes down! For the sake of the Bennetts and you, I don’t care if I have to kneel!”
Seeing the daughter he treated like a princess kneeling on the floor, swallowing all that injustice. William’s heart practically broke.
He turned to his actual biological daughter and yelled, “Spit it out! What’s it gonna take for you to let Sophia off the hook?!”
Amelia was his real daughter. She spent over a decade wandering, starving, and freezing, yet William didn’t feel a single ounce of guilt or pity for her.
But every time Sophia screwed up, he covered for her!
What a touching scene of father–daughter love! It honestly made her sick to her stomach.
“Ugh, I was gonna let Sophia slide, but now my mood’s ruined. So, deal’s off.”
With a smirk, Amelia tapped the call button.
Just as Sophia panicked, a hand reached over and hung up the call.
Alexander patted Amelia’s shoulder. “Don’t worry, Amelia. I’ll get you justice.”
“That’s right! Your brothers have your back. Don’t be scared!”
Lucas walked over, standing on her other side. The two of them flanked her like a pair of bouncers.
Having two brothers standing up to protect her–any other girl would be moved to tears, right? At least, that’s what Alexander and Lucas thought.
Too bad Amelia just gave them a blank stare and scoffed. “Cool. Let’s see how you’re gonna serve justice today.”
Amelia turned and sat on the couch, arms crossed, her long pale legs casually draped over each other, staring them down with dead eyes.
Seeing Amelia back off, William thought there was hope. “Alexander, Sophia is your sister. We shouldn’t air our dirty laundry in public…”
Dirty laundry? If Sophia’s little stunt worked, Amelia would be the one publicly humiliated!
A young girl gets framed with such a disgusting scheme by Sophia, and their dad’s priority is

Alexander laughed bitterly and shook his head. “Dad, Amelia is my sister too. She’s your real daughter. This is about her purity. Do you seriously not give a damn about her?!”
It was the first time he put himself in Amelia’s shoes, finally feeling the massive injustice she suffered every single day.
“If Amelia hadn’t been careful, if this creep actually ruined her, how is she supposed to live with that?! How would we explain that to Sebastian?! Did you ever think about that, Dad?!”
Obviously, no one in the family ever thought about it, because none of them actually cared if Amelia lived or died.
Sure enough, William didn’t feel guilty at all. He just barked back like an authoritarian father. “Well, she wasn’t ruined, was she?! And even if she did get slept with, Sophia could still marry Sebastian!”
“Wow.” Alexander shook his head in cold disbelief. “Dad, since you clearly don’t think you’re wrong, I’m getting Amelia justice myself.”
He knew Amelia didn’t just want justice–she wanted a sincere apology from their dad. Too bad he was still a stubborn, self–centered prick!
“Lock Sophia in the attic. No visitors for three days, and cut off her food!”
Two bulky servants stepped up and marched right toward Sophia.
Hearing the word “attic,” Sophia was scared completely out of her mind. “Dad! I don’t wanna go to the attic! Save me!”
Alexander actually having the guts to throw Sophia in the attic? Now that was a plot twist Amelia didn’t see coming.
The Bennett attic was a solitary confinement cell for misbehaving bodyguards. The second the door closed, it was pitch black. And in that darkness, snakes, bugs, and rats literally crawled all
over you.
If you fell asleep, rats chewed on your exposed skin, and snakes looked for holes to slither into.
In her past life, Amelia was tossed in there all the time. Sometimes for three days, sometimes half a month.
“You brat! Sophia is the jewel of this family, and you want to lock her in there?! What if you scare her to death?!” William’s veins popped. He grabbed Sophia and shielded her behind him.
