Chapter 207 The Trump Card
The Sterling lawyers didn’t expect her to cave that fast. She didn’t even blink. They honestly thought her brain was broken.
What kind of defense attorney admits their own client is in the wrong?!
Wasn’t that just handing them the win on a silver platter?

The Sterling lawyer puffed out his chest, looking incredibly smug. “Ms. Bennett, out of respect for the fact that you’re our boss’s fiancée, let me give you some advice. Playing lawyer isn’t a game for you. Apologize to Mr. Sterling right now, and maybe he’ll let Cyrus off the hook.”
The gallery erupted into laughter again, everyone mocking Amelia for biting off more than she could chew.
The Harrington team looked absolutely mortified. They buried their heads, faces burning with shame, wishing the floor would open up and swallow them.
They all thought Amelia was bringing in Ambrose! Who knew she was going to play lawyer herself?!
This was basically walking into a firing squad blindfolded!
The assistant whispered frantically in Cyrus’s ear, “Mr. Harrington, we are going to lose this case. We need an exit strategy, right now!”
Cyrus’s brows were knitted so tightly they looked glued together. He felt sick to his stomach.
Exit strategy? What exit strategy? Since the second he put his chips on Amelia, he hadn’t planned one.
It was ride or die now!
“Hold your horses. I’m trusting her one last time.”
Cyrus locked his deep gaze onto Amelia. His grandfather had said Amelia was a once–in–a- lifetime prodigy. Even if it was just to repay her for saving the old man’s life, he had to believe in her today.
“Mr. Harrington!” The assistant stomped his foot in pure frustration.
He was about to argue when Amelia let out a cold laugh. “Yeah, my client is at fault. His mistake was signing a contract with the Sterling Group in the first place!”
“Is she insane?! Amelia’s lost her damn mind!”

“Who in the world doesn’t want to partner with the Sterlings?! People literally kill for a chance to get their foot in the door, and she’s saying Cyrus shouldn’t have signed?!”
Hearing the crowd’s whispers, Evelyn felt a surge of triumph. She put on a fake, shocked expression and leaned toward Sebastian. “Sebastian, your fiancée is going way too far. How could she side with…”
Sebastian shot her a sideways glare that practically froze her blood. Evelyn flinched and immediately shut her mouth.
What is his deal?! He’s supposed to be here to catch Amelia red–handed, why won’t he let me talk?!
The Sterling lawyer was speechless for a solid minute. Just as he snapped out of it and geared up to object, Amelia pulled a stack of documents from her bag.
“Your Honor, these are the records of the joint projects between Harrington and Sterling over the past few years. The contract clearly states profit distribution is 60% for Sterling and 40% for Harrington. However, after a comprehensive audit, Harrington’s actual profit share never hit that 40%!”
Amelia looked right at Sebastian with a smirk. “Which means, the Sterling Group has been actively exploiting the Harrington Group for years. Therefore, Harrington’s request to terminate the contract is completely legal and justified!”
Copies of the evidence were naturally handed over to the Sterling defense team. Their elite lawyers scanned the documents, their eyes going wide with absolute horror.
They looked at each other in sheer panic, completely clueless as to how Amelia got her hands on this kind of dirt.
Harrington’s total profit share was exactly 39.9%…
After reading this so–called “evidence,” the lead lawyer wanted to flip the damn table and walk
out.
What the f*ck kind of evidence is this?! It looks faker than a three–dollar bill, but the numbers are actually real!
“Mr. Sterling, this…”
In three sentences, Amelia had completely paralyzed the Sterling legal team. The lawyer literally had to turn to his sugar daddy for help.
Sebastian used a long, elegant finger to flip to the next page of the evidence, letting out a quiet hum. “Since the evidence is right there, what are you waiting for? Let the judge rule.”

Even if the evidence was perfectly legal, as long as Sebastian refused to acknowledge it, the judge would rule against Harrington anyway!
