Chapter 210 Heartless

Amelia’s lips curled into a wicked smirk. She twirled a 7inch acupuncture needle, thicker than a strand of hair, right in front of Evelyn’s face.

Evelyn was terrified. She clutched her chest and screamed bloody murder. Ah! What are you doing?! Sebastian, save me!

A needle that thick and that longif she stabbed it into her chest, she would literally die of the pain!

Amelia is a complete psycho!

Don’t worry, I’m a professional. Ryan, come hold her down.”

When the future boss lady gave an order, how could Ryan refuse? He immediately dropped to his knees, pinned Evelyn’s arms above her head, and said with total glee, Ms. Bennett is an amazing doctor! Stop struggling, Miss Evelyn!

Right now, Evelyn looked like a pig strapped to a table at a slaughterhouse. Her face was flushed with utter humiliation, but no matter how hard she thrashed, she couldn’t move an inch.

Amelia twirled the needle and actually stabbed it straight into Evelyn’s chest!

Boom!

The second the needle pierced her skin, Evelyn’s brain shortcircuited, and she passed out cold.

Looks like she actually does have a heart condition, but it’s nothing major.”

Amelia wasn’t exactly doing charity work. She only used the needle to scare the crap out of Evelyn. But the second she hit the acupoint, she realized Evelyn’s heart had a massive reaction -it was a transplant!

Because the transplant was relatively recent and still required checkups, the needle triggered a severe physical response.

Having uncovered this dirty little secret, Amelia pulled the needle out and looked up at Sebastian. Your little angel isn’t so innocent. She’s had several heart transplants. But seeing how energetic she is, the donors must have been incredibly healthy. Wouldn’t be surprised if they literally ripped the hearts out of living people to give to her.

Tsk, tsk. Treating heart transplants like getting a haircut. Insane.”

Amelia said it like a joke, but a deadly chill flashed in her eyes.

Evelyn was definitely bad news. She probably had a mountain of bodies buried in her closet.

Sebastian was visibly stunned. He knew that any woman who survived beside that man for years was playing a dirty game, but he never imagined it was this sick!

Ryan, take her back and keep a close eye on her. Run a full background checkfind out exactly how many hearts she’s gone through over the years!

Evelyn did have a heart condition, but it was never severe enough to require a transplant.

Years ago, she had begged Sebastian to find her a donor. He used all his resources, but couldn’t find a match.

Then one day, she demanded he carve the heart out of a living person for her. When he refused, she fled the country.

Ryan was sharp. Even though Amelia didn’t spell it out completely, he connected the dots.

His disgust for Evelyn skyrocketed.

Ryan nodded, dragged Evelyn out the door, tossed her into the car, and didn’t forget to discreetly spit in her direction.

With everyone gone, Sebastian was still blocking the door, clearly not planning to move.

Amelia gave him a blank stare, flipped her long hair, and walked toward the exit. Sebastian’s hand shot out, grabbing her wrist and pinning her against the wall. Where do you think you’re going, Amelia?

Mr. Sterling, we’re not married yet. I don’t think I need to report my whereabouts to you.”

Heh. You’ve been playing outside for a few days, and now your heart’s gone wild?

A few court clerks still lingering in the hall caught a glimpse of the heavy sexual tension and immediately scrambled out the back door.

Oh my god, Mr. Sterling is actually obsessed with his fiancée! The rumors are total bullshit!

Run, run! If we stay another second, he’s gonna skin us alive.

Let

  1. go.

I’m busy. I don’t have time to flirt with you here.”

Amelia felt the dark, dangerous aura rolling off him and her heart gave a hard, panicked thump.

Don’t look at me like that. Your intimidation tactics don’t work on me.Sebastian’s threats meant absolutely nothing to her.
