Megan, acting as Sophia’s loyal attack dog, barked fearlessly. Brittany rushed over, trying to pull her away. “Megan, why are you starting drama again?”

The shouting drew a lot of attention. Sophia immediately changed her tone, playing the victim. “Chloe, just because Mrs. Vane didn’t take you as a student doesn’t mean you get to take your anger out on us.”

“You! Sophia, you’re such a b*tch! You’re even worse than Amelia!”

Their screaming match drew a small crowd. Up on the second–floor balcony, Amelia was holding a plate of fruit, her eyes curving into an amused smile as she watched the drama unfold below.

Selena rubbed her chin, pretending to think deeply. “Nah. Sophia is too sneaky for that. If Chloe swings first, she gets thrown out. She ain’t stupid enough to fall for it.”

The argument downstairs escalated until Nora walked over, her face stern. “What is going on here? Why all the yelling?”
