Irene finally gave her a proper look. When she saw the gown, her pupils shrunk. “This design was stolen from the palace last week! How are you wearing it? Did you steal this?!”

The room erupted into chaos.

“Sophia’s dress was stolen?!”

She had told everyone she was wearing an Irene original, and Lucas had presented this to her upon his

“A stolen dress… well, that certainly explains a lot.” Amelia stood to the side, watching Sophia with a mocking glint in her eye.

In her past life, Sophia had also worn a white camellia custom gown, claiming it was a Royal gift. She had used it to climb the social ladder for months.

But that dress had been a fake.

“You’ve insulted the Royal Family. I’m reporting this to the Queen immediately!” Irene snapped, turning to head for the door.

Just then, Julian and Lucas walked in, looking sharp in their tailored suits.

“That dress is a high–end replica! We didn’t steal anything!”

Lucas’s face was grim as he marched over to Sophia, seemingly unbothered by the fact that he’d handed his sister a knock–off.

“A fake?” Irene put on her glasses and began a meticulous inspection of the gown Sophia was wearing.

After a moment, she gave her verdict. “Yes. It is indeed a forgery.”

Sophia’s tension snapped. In her mind, being a fraud was better than being a thief; the social suicide was a small price for staying out of prison.

Amelia let out a dry laugh. “So you’re just wearing a fake. Lucky for you. If it were real, the Queen would

Eudora tried to stop her but failed. She turned to Julian and Lucas, screaming, “Why didn’t you stop her?! What do we do now?!”

‘It’s just a dress, right? Except that once Irene reports this, Lunaria will blacklist the Bennett Group from every luxury and fashion sector in Europe.”
