He’s Gone

ARABELLA’S POV

“Archieeee! Did you take my chocolate ice cream from the fridge!” I yelled, stomping into his room.

Archie raised a brow and sat up on his bed, “Is that why you’re barging into my room at this ungodly hour?”

I rolled my eyes, eyeing his sleepy face, “It’s 10 a.m. in the morning, Get your ass up and go do something.”

“Leave me alone.”

“No,” I said, opening his windows. “You’ve lazed around enough.”

Archie chuckled lightly, “This is literally the first time in a long time I’ve slept in on a Saturday, and you’re being dramatic?”

“Yes.”

After that, I could feel Alvise’s stare warming my face, but I couldn’t bring myself to look up.

“I’ll just stay in today and rest,” I said, happy to finally have a free day to myself.

Turning on the TV, I scrolled through several channels, but nothing was doing it for me.

My phone rang, and I picked it up. “Heyy!” I said, smiling.

Sierra sighed, “Hey.”

I frowned, “Why do you sound weird?”

There was a long pause before she broke the silence. “I hate the fact that I’m starting to look like a bearer of bad news.”

My heart raced. “Sierra? What are you talking about?”

“I… I just saw something on the news.”

“What did you see?” I snapped impatiently, my hold on the phone tightening, “Who is it about?”

“I…” She paused, the only sound coming from her being her heavy breaths.

“Sierra! You’re starting to scare me…
