Read Arabella and Alvise novel Chapter 74

I spotted the fresh towels first and quickly stripped off my clothes before taking a shower. When I was done, I rinsed my mouth with mouthwash, then wrapped myself in a towel before heading back into the room.
The real challenge came when I realized I had nothing to change into except the clothes I’d worn earlier.
More out of curiosity than hope, I decided to check the mini walk-in closet, even though I expected it to be empty.
It wasn’t.
My stomach dropped as I stared at rows of women’s clothes and accessories neatly arranged inside.
A bitter taste filled my mouth, and I stepped back out almost immediately, unable to bear the sight any longer.

I quickly dried my hair, then pulled my work dress back on in a rush before leaving the guest bedroom and grabbing my
purse.
I could hear movement in the kitchen as I passed by, but I refused to look in his direction.
My steps quickened as I headed for the elevator. I had barely reached it when a large hand wrapped around my wrist and yanked me backward.
I crashed into his solid chest, a gasp escaping my lips. He steadied me with one hand on my waist before leaning close enough for his breath to brush against my ear. “And where are you going?”
