Sylvie quickly released her grip on Miles's arm, offering an apologetic smile. "I'm so sorry, Miles. I didn't realize how hard I was holding you; it was an accident."
Miles didn't suspect a thing. He nodded innocently. "It's okay."
He knew Sylvie would never hurt him on purpose. She loved him the most.
With that thought, Miles grabbed her hand, trying to pull her toward the door. "Come on, let's go build the robot. You don't need to stay here; let him study by himself."
This Finn guy was incredibly annoying. Before he showed up, Sylvie was all his. Now, this kid had stolen his bedroom layout, his toys, his milk, and was even trying to steal Sylvie!
He hated him so much!
He absolutely refused to let Sylvie spend time with a thief. She belonged only to him.
In the past, whenever Miles made a demand, Sylvie would happily oblige.
But this time...
Sylvie smoothly pulled her hand from his grasp. Though she was smiling, the warmth didn't reach her eyes. "Miles, I need to stay here and help Finn with his homework. Why don't you go play downstairs by yourself?"
Miles froze. He couldn't believe his favorite person was rejecting him—and over Finn, no less.
His temper instantly flared. "No! I want you to play with me right now!"
This was the first time he had ever thrown a tantrum at Sylvie. Whenever he threw a fit in the past, Hulda and the rest of his family had always humored him.
He assumed Sylvie would do the same. After all, she was the nicest to him.
But instead, Sylvie's face darkened. She immediately pulled out her phone and dialed Callie, who was busy working downstairs. "Callie, come to the third floor and take Miles away."
When Callie hurried into Finn's room, Miles was still throwing a fit, clinging desperately to Sylvie and screaming that she had to play with him.
