Layla had gone to make some porridge for Stella. The moment she opened the door and saw Stella’s ghastly pale face, she shrieked in fright. The bowl of porridge slipped from her hands and shattered on the floor.

In the CEO’s office of Aspica Capital, Tristan received a call from Eloise right after he took a seat. She had already heard about what had happened the night before.

“Tristan, what exactly is going on? Who did this?” Eloise questioned.

Hearing his detached tone, Eloise said nothing more and ended the call.

Tristan was setting his phone down right when Micah knocked and entered. Other than reporting on work, Micah also brought news about the person behind the exposé.

He was from the investment firm that had signed an earn-out agreement with the company last year. In the end, the firm had lost most of its fortune and was ultimately acquired by Aspica Capital.
