Chapter 84
Chapter 84
Theodore sent a photo of fireworks and asked, “Want to see Faith?”
Stella hadn’t mentioned her at all. He knew she was afraid that seeing Faith would only make her suffer more, but he was sure that deep down, she really wanted to see her.
Stella quietly stared at the message for a long time. After a while, she returned to her room and finally replied, “Okay.”
In the end, she couldn’t stop herself.
Theodore sent her several photos of Faith, including ones in which she was sleeping or smiling. Faith was incredibly pretty. Her big, bright eyes curved when she smiled, and she had a button nose, a rosy little mouth, and fair, chubby cheeks.
Tears welled up in Stella’s eyes as she looked through the photos. She put down the phone and looked out the window, forcing herself to calm down before sending Theodore another
message.
“Is Tristan treating her well?”
That was what she worried about the most.

Theodore replied, “He really likes Faith. He takes care of her himself most of the time. He’s kept the scarf and the hat too.”
Stella hadn’t expected that. Relief washed over her, and she wrote back, “That’s good.”
She didn’t ask any more questions, and Theodore didn’t say anything more about Faith either.
The group chat remained lively. Annabeth kept tagging her, wanting to video-call Stella so she
could watch the fireworks.
By midnight, Layla was urging Stella to go to bed. She said her goodnights and lay down to sleep.
A new year had arrived, but Stella could only stay at home.
On New Year’s Day, Gary and Layla went out, while Jonathan stayed at home to take care of
Stella.
Theodore came to visit, and the three of them spent the afternoon playing cards. Stella ended up winning against both of them.
In the following days, Theodore dropped by from time to time. It wasn’t just to keep Stella

company, but, more importantly, to talk business with Jonathan.
Even though it was the holiday season, Jonathan was constantly busy and had to return to the office from time to time. The next two years were a critical period for growth, so he didn’t
dare slack off even a little.
Time flew by, and with everyone returning from their holidays, the city gradually went back to
work.
Hayden and Annabeth came to visit Stella right away. Annabeth had traveled overseas and had now brought lots of gifts-all amazing things to help with Stella’s postpartum recovery.
Hayden confirmed Stella’s schedule with her. She would be going to Aluna on February 10.
