Sleeping in Her Bed and Thinking of Another novel Chapter 12

Chapter 12

Brayden looked up sharply.

Lindsay wanted a divorce?

He was so shocked that he didn’t even have time to react before a commotion broke out

among the reporters.

“Mr. Hart, does your divorce have anything to do with Scarlett?”

“Scarlett, wasn’t it enough that you stole Ms. Lindsay’s position? Did you have to steal her marriage, too?”

In the chaos, bodyguards rushed over to shield Brayden’s group so they could leave quickly.

Lindsay arrived in Taronta.

The moment she exited the VIP access tunnel, she spotted a large group of over 100 black-clad men standing in two rows. When they saw her, they shouted simultaneously, “Welcome home, Ms. Lindsay!”

Her adoptive parents, Francesa and Klaus Hernan came over to hug her. Klaus shouted excitedly, “Lindsay! If you hadn’t come back in such a rush, I would have booked all the plazas in Yerope to celebrate!”

Lindsay looked resigned. “Dad, you’re being too dramatic.”

She had never allowed Klaus and Francesca to visit her in Hulania because of how flamboyant Klaus was.

Although she was complaining, Lindsay couldn’t repress a smile. It was such a wonderful feeling to feel cared for.

Francesca’s eyes were filled with tears as she came over to hug Lindsay. “No matter what, we’re glad you’re back.”

She looked down at Lindsay and frowned. “How did you lose so much weight in just a few years? What did Brayden and the Yorks do to you!”

There was a murderous glint in Francesca’s eyes.

Although Lindsay hadn’t said much, Francesca’s informants had already told her about how the Yorks and Brayden treated Lindsay over the past few years.

Francesca was furious with them. “Sweetheart, are you sure that you don’t want me and your dad to get revenge for you? You know, we could very easily make both the Harts and the Yorks pay the price for their actions.”

Lindsay knew that Francesca wasn’t exaggerating, but she shook her head lightly. “There’s no need for that. To me, they’re just strangers now.”
