Sleeping With the Wrong Man: Uncle vs. Nephew novel Chapter 11

Chapter 11

Liana didn’t say Olivia’s name, but every word landed like a sharp crack across Logan’s face.

His expression changed, brows tightening on instinct. With Lucinda standing right there, he couldn’t bring up Olivia directly, so he forced his voice low in warning. “You’re talking nonsense.”

But his flustered denial, that anxious urge to cover up, looked like confirmation in Lucinda’s

eyes.

A shockwave went through her.

What? Logan had cheated. And not only cheated, but brought the mistress into their house?

So Liana, the legitimate wife, had been forced out by him and the other woman?

No wonder she wanted to divorce him.

Lucinda’s gaze softened as she looked at Liana, full of sympathy and something like maternal protectiveness. When she turned to Logan again, her eyes were cold with disgust.

“Mr. Young, words shouldn’t be thrown around so carelessly.”

She stepped forward with her usual elegance and positioned herself beside Liana. Her tone stayed polite, but every syllable carried a blade. “Coming from a family as prominent as yours,

you should know better than to accuse your wife without a shred of evidence.”

She patted Liana’s shoulder lightly, a small gesture of comfort, then gave Logan a slow, dismissive glance.

“The person who met with Ms. Wade today was me. Not the secret lover you’re trying to

imagine.”

She looked Logan up and down and let out a soft, disdainful laugh.

“And judging by Ms. Wade’s integrity, she isn’t the type to commit something as filthy as marital infidelity.”

She pressed hard on the words filthy and infidelity, making it perfectly clear who she believed the real offender in this marriage was.

Logan’s brow dug in deeper.

He looked from Liana to Lucinda, who stood openly defending her, and confusion tightened in

his chest.

These two had barely exchanged pleasantries in the past. One was a powerful matriarch in the

business world, the other was a quiet, easily ignored employee in his own company. They lived in completely different worlds. Why would they suddenly be close enough to meet privately in a cafe?

Unless…

A thought shot through him.

Lucinda wanted Liana to handle the divorce case. And Liana-she had dared to accept it.

She knew perfectly well that Olivia was his treasure, the woman he had protected his whole life. Yet she still took on the case to help an outsider tear Olivia apart?

Rage burst up his spine.

Liana had quit her job, stormed out of the house, and was now intentionally taking on Olivia’s divorce case.

She was doing all of this to punish him. She wanted attention. She wanted him to yield to her.
