Chapter 13
The passersby had already noticed the commotion. Curious gazes were turned their way, and some even pulled out their phones, whispering among themselves.
Logan cared most about his image, so he couldn’t bring himself to chase after them with so many people watching.
He could only stand there and watch helplessly as Lucinda shoved Liana into the black sedan before speeding away.
“Damn it!” Logan growled under his breath and slammed his fist hard against the wall behind him.
He stood rooted in place, heaving as his expression darkened.
A few seconds later, he pulled out his phone and dialed a number, saying, “Hey, it’s me. Keep trailing Liana. Report everywhere she goes and everyone she meets to me around the clock!”
The black sedan cruised smoothly along the road
Lucinda glanced at Liana, still pale, through the rearview mirror, and sighed. She tried to comfort Liana by saying, “Don’t be upset, Ms. Wade. Men are all the same, always shopping around even when they’re already taken. There’s not one good man in this world.”
Her tone carried the mocking disdain of someone who’d seen it all. “I just didn’t expect a family like the Youngs to produce trash like Logan. He’s truly a disgrace to his household.” Liana leaned back against the seat without answering.
After all, the one Logan was cheating on her with was Lucinda’s daughter-in-law, Olivia.
If Lucinda ever found out, what kind of trouble would she cause?
For now, Liana couldn’t say anything.
Before she got concrete evidence of Logan and Olivia’s affair, all she had was her speculation and Lucinda’s suspicions.
After a moment of silence, she said softly, “Thank you, Mrs. Lynch.”
Watching Liana through the rearview mirror, Lucinda nodded when she saw that Liana had calmed down a little. “There’s no need to thank me. You’re my attorney now. There’s no way I can just stand by and watch my attorney get abused in the middle of the street.”
The car soon pulled up at the entrance of Liana’s villa district.

Lucinda stopped the car and turned to Liana. “Il drop you off here. You can walk the rest of the way.”
After a pause, Lucinda added, “I’m entrusting this case to you, Ms. Wade. Money is no concern. All I care about are the results.”
Liana nodded. “Don’t worry. I’ll have the complete litigation plan ready for you as soon as possible.”
After parting ways with Lucinda, Liana walked back to her villa alone.
She took a quick shower and changed into some comfortable loungewear. Then, she curled up on the living room couch with her laptop.
She didn’t start working immediately. Instead, she cleared her mind and started reviewing Olivia’s marriage into the Lynch family.
Three years ago, Olivia had a grand wedding, becoming the wife of the Lynch family’s eldest son, Zayn Lynch. At the time, Zayn had been a rising star in the business world.
