Chapter 19
Logan’s body went rigid, but in the end, he still lifted her hand and gently patted Olivia’s back
in comfort.
The next morning, a black Bentley rolled to a slow stop at the entrance of the villa district where Liana was staying.
Logan stepped out with a dark and stormy look on his face.
Today, he would make that ungrateful woman, Liana, understand exactly who her husband was. She would make sure she knew who she should be listening to.
But the moment he reached the main gate, two uniformed security guards blocked his way.
“Good morning, sir. Who are you here to see?”
Logan frowned, saying impatiently, “I’m here to see a resident inside.”
“I’m sorry, sir. Our community rules state that non-residents cannot enter at will.” The guard’s expression was firm, leaving him no room for negotiation.
Logan was furious. “I just entered last night, and now I’m not allowed in?”
The second guard nodded. “Yes, sir.”
He explained with a blank expression, “This is a new rule implemented this morning. All visitors must be personally met by the resident at the gate, or the resident must call the security office in advance to register the visit. We can only let them through after that.”
Logan almost laughed out of sheer fury.
A new rule?
This was obviously Liana’s doing.
He forced down the fury inside him and pulled out his phone, dialing Liana’s number.
In the villa, Liana was seated at her desk, refining the final details of the litigation plan. Her phone buzzed beside her, and Logan’s name flashed across the screen.
One glance was all it took for her to know what he was trying to do.
It was definitely still about Olivia.
She did not hesitate to decline the call.

Chapter 19
2/2
In the car, Logan was utterly stunned as he listened to the busy tone.
She…
She actually rejected his call?
Before, she just didn’t answer. But now, she was actually declining his phone calls.
Good. Very good, Liana.
He’d spoiled her far too much.
Logan clenched his teeth hard.
He yelled at the driver, “Drive!”
The driver flinched at his tone and didn’t even dare to ask any questions. He immediately pulled the car away from the gate and practically fled the scene.
In the security booth, the guard watched the expensive car drive away in humiliation.
Then, he picked up his walkie-talkie to notify a colleague before calling Liana. “Ms. Wade, sorry to bother you. Well, just now, the black Bentley you mentioned came again. We stopped him, and he’s already left.”
