Then Liana sent Lucinda a message. “Mrs. Lynch all the documents have been sent to your email. Please take a look. If everything looks good, we can file the lawsuit at any time.” Lucinda replied with a short “Okay.”

Three days later, in the cream-colored villa’s living room, Olivia was lying face down on the couch. Her eyes were closed as she enjoyed the housekeeper’s massage.

The housekeeper massaging her was Susan Carlisle, who used to be in charge of Liana’s daily needs.

Now that Liana was gone, she had naturally been assigned to serve the “new mistress”. Susan’s hands applied just the right amount of pressure, but inwardly she was filled with disdain for the woman in front of her.

A mistress would always be a mistress. She took over someone else’s home and actually started treating herself as the lady of the house.

Olivia suddenly hissed sharply and snapped her eyes open. She whipped her head back and yelled irritably, “Don’t you know how to use your hands properly? That hurt!”

She frowned as she said sharply, “Is that how Liana taught you to do things before?”

Susan paused for a moment, quickly bowing her head and apologizing. “I’m sorry, Ms. Chase, I was too clumsy.”

After that, she added, “But Mrs. Young was always in good health. She never let us massage her because she said she didn’t want us to get too tired.”

The words sounded like an apology, but her tone was dripping with sarcasm.

Susan was mocking the fact that a mistress was acting more high-and-mighty than the real wife.

Olivia was no idiot and instantly heard the mockery between her lines. Her expression instantly darkened.

Even a mere housekeeper dared to act like this?

It seemed like Liana had spoiled them far too much. They didn’t know their place anymore.

She was just about to teach this ignorant housekeeper a lesson when the phone on the table chimed with a new message.

Olivia glared at Susan viciously before turning away to pick up her phone.

She thought it would be some rich socialite inviting her out to shop and have some coffee. Yet, when she tapped open the notification and saw the contents, all the color was drained from her face in an instant.

“Summons from the court. Regarding Plaintiff Lucinda Yardley’s divorce dispute against you, the case has been officially filed…”

A court summons.

That old witch Lucinda moved so quickly.

Hadn’t Logan promised her that he would warn iana not to take the case? So why did she still receive a summons?

A wave of panic seized her. Her fingers gripped the phone so hard they turned slightly pale.

Just then, the villa door opened, and Logan walked in looking exhausted.

“Logie!” Olivia shot up from the couch like she’d seen her savior.

She immediately ran toward Logan. “Logie, I got a court summons!”

She held the phone up to him, and tears started to fall. “Liana really helped Lucinda drag me to court!”
