Chapter 21
A sudden, inexplicable panic shot through Logan It felt as if something important was slipping out of his life at breakneck speed.
He took a deep breath and forced down his frustration. Then, he patted Olivia’s shoulder as he carelessly tried to comfort her. “Don’t worry, I’ll handle it.”
With that, he didn’t spare her another glance before heading out of the villa.
The moment he got in the car, he dialed a number. “Liana hasn’t left that villa in the last few days?”
The man on the other end answered seriously, “No, Mr. Young. Our people have been stationed outside around the clock. She hasn’t stepped out even once.
Logan tightened his grip on his phone.
So she was hiding?
Did she think she could just hole up inside and get away with it?
She could hide for a while, but she couldn’t hide forever.
As long as he refused to sign, Liana would always be his lawful wife. She’d have to listen to
him.
Meanwhile, on the top floor of the Young Group headquarters, Liana sat at a massive ebony desk in the CEO’s office.
She wore a black baseball cap that was pulled low, with oversized sunglasses that covered half her face and a black face mask. She was completely wrapped up from head to toe.
Silas lounged in his leather chair, tapping his fingers idly against the table as he raised a brow at her suspicious get-up.
Being stared at like that made Liana uncomfortable. Realizing how strange she must have looked, she smiled awkwardly and removed her sunglasses and mask. “Sorry, Mr. Young. It took me a few days before I could come by.”
Silas shook his head, indicating that it was not an issue.
His sharp gaze fell on the sunglasses and mask she’d set on the desk, then he asked calmly, ” Logan had his men follow you?”
Liana’s heart stopped for a moment.

Silas and Logan were family. She was only cooperating with Silas for that payout. Her private matters were none of his concern, nor did she intend to explain herself.
Silas’ eyebrows raised higher at her silence.
“If Logan has offended you, I can take care of it.” He shifted slightly, lacing his fingers together on the table.
He said in a steady tone, “After all, I’m your elder.”
Liana sneered inwardly.
Those people from the Young family were all snakes from the same pit. Was she supposed to believe they would help an outsider like her?
Not a chance.
She declined politely. “No need, Mr. Young. It’s nothing serious. I can handle it myself.”
Silas lowered his gaze, hiding whatever emotion flickered in his eyes.
Liana didn’t want to stay in the same room as him for too long. His presence was too heavy, pressing down on her like a heavy weight.
