Chapter 115 Layla Says She Loves Mel
Chapter 115 Layla Says She Loves Me!
Candy Coffey, Tomas’ mom, had always had trouble conceiving, and after much difficulty, she finally had her only child.
Tomas was exceptionally talented, with the highest shift tier and strongest psychic force seen in the last twenty years, second only to Atlas.
Krish valued his cousin highly.
Krish hoped someday Tomas would be able to hold his own against Atlas.
A cousin was not the same as a brother.
A cousin wouldn’t fight Krish for the throne.
Now that something had happened to Tomas, Candy was at a complete loss, and the whole Coffey family was reeling. Even Krish couldn’t hide his worry.
So right then, Krish stood quietly behind the Coffey couple.
Atlas’s eyes narrowed, a dangerous glint flashing as he watched the scene unfold.
After all, with Krish also making moves on Layla, it is impossible for Atlas be in a good mood.
Layla took a deep breath, her voice steady. “Mrs. Coffey, I’m not the one who can save Tomas. You should really talk to a doctor.”
Candy jumped in, “You absolutely can! We ran your profiles through the gene matching center. Your compatibility with Tomas is 96%! You’re the only one who can soothe him!”
Layla gave a cold laugh. “Mrs. Coffey, you do realize I’m already married, don’t you? Are you asking me to cheat on my husband, or do you want me to leave him?”
Layla had just wanted to clap back at Candy, but as soon as she finished, Atlas’s aura beside her grew even more dangerous.
Layla froze for a second, her eyes pausing.
‘Damn, I totally spaced. Atlas is standing right here next to me, she thought.
At that moment, Layla couldn’t help but feel a sense of doom for Candy and the whole Coffey family.
They tried to poach someone right under Atlas’s nose, and that’s gutsy.
Candy wasn’t exactly the sharpest tool in the shed, totally oblivious to the fact that the infamous Atlas was standing there, danger rolling off him in waves.
Driven by a mother’s desperation, she blurted out, “I know you’re already married, but honestly, your husband is nothing compared to Tomas!
“If you’re willing to divorce him right now and soothe Tomas’s rampaging psychic force, I… I’ll even let him marry you, even though you’re just a nobody orphan!”
Layla let out a laugh, half angry, half amused.
Layla thought, ‘Wow, so you’re forcing me to divorce and then acting like letting Tomas marry me is some kind of blessing? Seriously?
‘Isn’t she just a little too full of herself?
‘Talk about being shameless!’
Meanwhile, Atlas was about to blow a fuse.
Atlas lifted his head, his eyes cold and dangerous. “Arthur, are you trying to get yourselves killed?”
Arthur was Tomas’s father and Krish’s uncle.
And honestly, Atlas was probably the only one in all of Alpha Prime who would dare say something like that.
Arthur didn’t even dare to talk back, not even show a hint of anger.
He forced a smile. “Prince Atlas, let’s talk this out. No need to get angry. My wife is just a little anxious.”
Atlas let out a cold laugh. “So being anxious means you can force someone to divorce? Is this the kind of shameless, immoral stunt the Coffey family pulls all the tim

Krish frowned, clearly displeased. “Atlas, that’s a bit much. Arthur is still your elder.”

Atlas shot back, “Too much? Arthur’s your uncle, not mine!”
Krish sighed. “Atlas, why are you so worked up? Ultimately, this is Layla’s own business. I know you and November are close, but it’s their marriage. Maybe you should stay out of it.”
“Me, meddling? Then what about you, huh?” Atlas snapped back.
Krish was speechless.
The two brothers had never gotten along, but they’d never gone at it in public like this before.
Their eyes grew colder and colder, and the pressure from their psychic force made the air itself seem to freeze.
It looked like they were about to throw down right then and there.
But Layla knew that right now, Atlas was in November’s mode, and his emotions were dangerously unstable.
If they kept provoking him, he might actually snap and lash out at Krish.
That would be a total disaster.
Layla said, “Krish is right. This is between my husband and me. Let me say this loud and clear. I love my partner, and he is the best there is. I’m not divorcing him.
“So, Mrs. Coffey, you’d better look elsewhere for a solution. Stop wasting your energy on me.”
As soon as Layla finished speaking, Atlas, who’d been right on the edge of snapping, suddenly stilled. The dangerous vibe around him vanished in a heartbeat.
His beautiful blue eyes locked onto Layla, full of warmth and longing.
Atlas thought, ‘Layla just said she loves her partner!
‘She loves me!’
If it weren’t so inappropriate right now, his fluffy fox tail would be wagging like crazy from sheer happiness.
But Candy was hung up on something else entirely. She gaped at Layla, looking like she’d just heard the most outrageous thing ever. “How could anyone possibly be better than my Tomas?”
“Absolutely,” Layla fired back. “My partner is leagues ahead. November is incredible, and no one could ever take his place!” Layla wasn’t just talking big. Atlas was the kind of genius people only see once in a hundred years on Alpha Prime, and even Krish had to admit his little brother was seriously impressive.
If Atlas wasn’t, Krish wouldn’t be so freaked out by him all the time.
After getting showered with so many sweet words today, Atlas was in a sky-high mood, totally soothed and feeling on top of the world.
He said calmly, “Layla, let’s go.”
“Yes, Prince Atlas,” Layla replied.
The tense atmosphere that had been hanging in the air just moments ago vanished in an instant.
The Coffey family didn’t want Layla to leave, but with Atlas standing right there, there was no way they could stop her.
The Coffey family didn’t dare try anything forceful.
Arthur glanced anxiously at Krish, his voice trembling. “Your Highness, what should we do now?”
Krish narrowed his eyes, and for a split second, he genuinely thought Atlas might actually attack him.
Krish was honestly terrified of Atlas.
But if Atlas really did lose it and throw a punch, that would be perfect. Krish could play the victim.
He’d have the perfect excuse to run straight to their father and snitch on Atlas.
But no one could’ve guessed Atlas would chill out again so quickly.
If Krish had followed them, he would’ve seen his usually intimidating little brother, right after getting into the aero-vehicle with Layla, suddenly materializing nine fluffy fox tails, then pulling Layla into a tight, possessive hug.
“Layla, you’re the only one for me. No one could ever take your place!” Atlas murmured.
Layla’s body went a little stiff. She’d only said all that in front of the Coffey family just to shut down their scheming.
Truth was, she still wanted out of her marriage with Atlas.
But now, with the whole fox wrapping her up, and his fluffy tails sweeping around in smug delight and that look of pure joy on his face, Layla just couldn’t bear to shatter his happiness with the truth.

Chapter 115 Layla Says She Loves Me! It’s not that she didn’t like him.
She just didn’t think she was good enough to love him.
They held each other for a while, and when November finally let Layla go, he was clearly reluctant. “Layla, I’ve got to head back to the Military Command and dig into what’s going on with Nolan. Want me to drop you off at school first?”
“I’ll swing by Wastelands-9 Orphan Core instead,” Layla said. “I want to check if Celia and the kids need anything.”
“No problem, I’ll take you there. And if the Coffey family tries to mess with you, just tell them you’ve got me backing you up,” November said.
“Yeah,” Layla agreed.
Layla figured the Coffey family wouldn’t be bothering her anytime soon.
Unless, of course, Krish told them to because that’d basically be picking a fight with Atlas.
She’d never wanted to use Atlas’s clout for anything, so she didn’t want people knowing they were together.
But after everything was said and done, he always ended up shielding her anyway.
For Layla, having someone protect her was a complicated feeling.
But it was undeniably warm.
When November dropped Layla off at the entrance, he stole a quick kiss from the corner of her lips, looking like he really didn’t want to let her go.
“Layla, I seriously wish I could just carry you around in my pocket all day!” he said.
