Chapter 123 Snuggles And Kisses
Chapter 123 Snuggles And Kisses
Xanthe got into the Command Division at Imperial Academy with top marks? No way, Layla thought, genuinely stunned.
Lately, she’d been so busy with her own stuff that she hadn’t paid any attention to the Sullivan family, let alone Xanthe
Out of all the Sullivans, the only one Layla cared about was Nolan.
After hanging up, Layla felt her mind weighed down with worries.
What could cause such a drastic tumaround in someone? Layla wondered to herself.
“Layla, if you really can’t stand Xanthe, I can have someone ship her off to some mining colony on another planet,” November said.
November, who’d been ignored for a while, curled his tail around her.
He leaned in close to Layla, blowing softly against her ear.
‘Best part about rut? I get to snuggle and kiss Layla all I want! November thought to himself.
Layla gave him a look. “Your rut’s been dragging on way too long. Maybe it’s time for Colonel Gill to give you a checkup?”
A flash of discomfort flickered across his face, but he quickly shook it off.
He latched onto Layla’s arm, hanging off her.
“Layla, I’m really fine. But if you’re that worried, I’ll let Andrew bring his team over tomorrow to run some tests,” November said.
Layla then felt a bit more at ease.
Since November’s rut was probably ending tomorrow, they made the most of tonight. The night was filled with lingering. passionate moments.
By the end, the rich scent of cedar and the sweet fragrance of roses mingled together, creating an intoxicating atmosphere that made it almost impossible to wake up from.
Early the next morning, Andrew showed up with his medical team.
While he was there, he asked Layla how Celia and the others were settling in.
Layla nodded. “It’s really convenient there, and the house is way better than the old orphanage. Thank you so much, Colonel Gill.”
“I’m glad they’re settling in. You don’t need to thank me. That house would just be sitting there empty anyway,” Andrew said with a smile.
After all, that house was one of Atlas’s properties.
“Mrs. Zimmer, I’m about to do a checkup for His Highness. Do you want to stay or head out for a bit?” Andrew asked.
“I’ll step out,” Layla replied.
Layla knew that because Atlas was royalty, his health was strictly confidential.
Layla didn’t want to know all his secrets. As long as Atlas was healthy, that’s enough.
Once Layla left, Andrew walked into the room. Atlas was already lying in the medical pod.
Andrew tapped a few buttons on the control panel, and Atlas’s health stats popped up on the screen.
“Your Highness, all your readings are normal,” he said.
“I see, Atlas replied.
“And Mrs. Zimmer…” Andrew said.
Atlas sat up in the medical pod, fastening his cufflinks. “Same old excuse,” he said flatly.
Andrew nodded, unfazed. “I’ll prescribe some oral meds to help balance your psychic force and pheromones.”
“Alright, Atlas replied.
“But Your Highness, it’s really time to wrap up this rut. Honestly, nobody on Alpha Prime has ever had one drag on this long.”
Atlas didn’t reply and just ran through his plans in his head.
‘Layla’s starting classes tomorrow, so she’ll be successfully Allak rught to himself.
He needed to carve out time to handle the two.
Successfully unlocked!
And he still had to fight the crown prince for control of Nolan’s Third Legion.

“Okay,” Atlas replied.
It wasn’t until Andrew told Layla that November was totally fine that she finally felt at ease.
After Andrew left, Layla wasted no time getting back to work on the custom mech suit her client had commissioned. The final deadline for delivery was right around the corner.
Once Layla headed down to the basement, November’s casual grin faded away, and his face gradually returned to its icy, ruthless self.
He walked into his study and started up a video conference.
He swept his gaze over the twenty-plus adjutants on screen, his voice cold and detached: “I remember I took down a Hellwing Starbeast. Where’s the skeleton now?”
Roger, sitting to the right of the round table, instantly straightened up.
‘Damn, that was years back!’ Roger thought, a little stunned.
Atlas’s eyes swept over the room, finally locking onto Roger.
He said coolly, “Roger, your answer?”
“Well, that was ages ago, Your Highness. I’ll look into it right away and get back to you as soon as possible!” Roger replied, a bit flustered.
While Atlas was busy handling his own affairs, Layla had already finished building the mech suit.
The mech’s metallic curves looked absolutely stunning, and its attack and defense had multiple modes. Layla couldn’t help but love it herself.
With some time to spare, Layla decided to go check on Wastelands-9 Orphan Core.
But just as she was about to head out, November showed up, saying he was done with his meeting and insisted on coming with her.
Layla was already used to November being so clingy.
In the end, she just took him along with her to the orphanage.
The kids at Wastelands-9 Orphan Core were all over Ninth, and soon had him join in their games.
Layla glanced around, but Annie was nowhere to be seen. She turned to Celia and asked, “Ms. Brennan, where’s Annie?”
