Chapter 163
Chapter 163
Everyone from Meridia had their faces change at the exact same moment.
The Logan family’s expressions soured as well.
Although the Logan family swaggered as if they owned Meridia, Krish stood poised to take the throne on Alpha Prime. Leilani might hold the title of queen, but she’d always been just a sacrifice for both worlds.
But that didn’t mean they weren’t scared of Atlas. His strength was undeniable.
That was bad luck. They just happened to run into one of Atlas’s trusted aides handling business on Meridia.
Gary shot Garrett a look, and Garrett instantly caught on. He stood up with a forced grin and said, “So you’re Atlas’s people. This is all just a misunderstanding; we’re all on the same team here.”
November replied coldly, “Looks like you’re really one of the Logan family now. Oh, right, I almost forgot; your daughter married into them. Guess you’re all one big happy family.”
Garrett’s face twisted in embarrassment, then anger. He said, “I’m Prince Atlas’s elder. Even if Prince Atlas were here, he wouldn’t talk to me like this. Who do you think you are?”
November stared at Garrett like he was already a dead man.
Garrett shivered in terror, goosebumps rising all over his skin.
November said in a flat, emotionless voice, “Prince Atlas doesn’t keep pathetic elders like you around. He gave me a kill order; anyone who tries to take Her Majesty’s estate today will be executed on the spot.”
Everyone looked at each other, realizing this masked kid wasn’t bluffing. In the end, they all backed off in unison.
Soon enough, the crowd at the door had completely cleared out. November put away his mech suit and headed inside. Rosa had just finished baking pastries and brewing coffee.
She asked with concern, “Your Highness, did those people all leave?”
“They’re all gone. Ms. Lowe, have they ever done something like this before?” November replied.
Rosa sighed and said, “They’ve always pushed boundaries, but never this boldly. The Clark family seems indifferent, perhaps overwhelmed, or some, like Garrett, have married into the Logans. Since Her Majesty’s parents passed, few truly care for her anymore.”
November remembered that Leilani lost her parents when she was just a child. If his grandparents had still been alive back then, they never would have let her be married off to Alpha Prime just to keep the peace for Meridia.
Rosa looked worried. She said, “It’s lucky you happened to be here this time. If you hadn’t been.”
November replied calmly, “They would’ve taken this house and wrecked the place. And you would’ve been dragged into it as well. I’ll let my mother know about this.”
Layla looked puzzled. She asked, “But when they came here to stir up trouble before, weren’t they worried Ms. Lowe would tell Her Majesty about it?”
Rosa shook her head and said, “Her Majesty’s hands are tied, and for years now, she’s been doing everything she can to avoid Prince Krish’s wrath.”
Layla frowned, remembering how Krish had tried to target her before.

Chapter 163
Voughers
‘Krish really doesn’t know what’s good for him, Layla thought. ‘Neither Leilani nor Atlas ever had any ambition for the throne; they were always stepping aside whenever possible. But Krish just kept being so aggressive about it.
Meanwhile, November had already called Leilani and filled her in on everything.
Leilani was sipping her coffee with effortless grace, and she said casually, as if it were nothing, “Oh, when you leave, just blow up the house.”
November nodded and replied, “Got it.”
Leilani said, “And make sure Ms. Lowe gets out beforehand.”
“Mm,” November replied.
Ms. Lowe was left speechless.
Layla blinked, a little dazed, watching November and Leilani settle everything in just a few words. Leilani didn’t seem to give a damn about the house.
Or maybe she had already expected things to turn out like this on Meridia. So, if she said blow it up, it would get blown up. Even destroying it was better than letting the Logan family or those losers from the Clark family have it.
Leilani then said gently, “Layla, this is your first time on Meridia, right? Some places here are really gorgeous. You might as well enjoy them while you can; who knows, maybe one day Meridia will go up in flames, too.”
Layla was lost for words.
‘Leilani is definitely mad, even if she’s still smiling so sweetly,’ Layla thought. ‘Honestly, who wouldn’t be pissed if this happened to them?’
Leilani had sacrificed her freedom and her dreams, marrying a man who never loved her, and always had to deal with his eldest son scheming against her at every turn.
Leilani’s life on Alpha Prime was anything but easy. Even if she wasn’t struggling every single day, she always had to watch her back.
And in return, she sacrificed so much to keep Meridia at peace, and now these spineless losers were pulling shady moves behind her back.
The Clark family was a total pushover, practically ready to hand over the reins to the Logan family.
And the Logans were even more power-hungry. Now that their daughter had snagged a spot as one of Krish’s wives, they were strutting around like they owned the place.
Honestly, maybe it would be better to just blow all these losers up and be done with it.
Rosa looked worried. She said, “I don’t even know where to go now.”
Leilani said, “Ms. Lowe, when Atlas and the others come back, they’ll take you with them to Alpha Prime. It’s been ages since you last saw Mollie.”
Rosa shook her head and said, “Your Highness, you know I don’t want to go to the palace.”
Layla said, “Ms. Lowe, I was raised in an orphanage on Wastelands-9. After the war devastated the planet, I moved Ms. Brennan and the children to a house on Alpha Prime’s outskirts. If you prefer not to enter the palace, you could stay there
instead.”
“That sounds great,” Rosa said. She agreed without a second thought.

Chapter 163
Layla finally got it; Alpha Prime’s palace was seriously not somewhere you wanted to end up.
Leilani was honestly way too good to be stuck in that place.

After they finished their afternoon tea, November headed out with Layla, making their way toward the Abyss on Meridia.
The elder they were going to visit lived just outside the Abyss.
The Abyss had its share of tragic tales, and it was no joke down there; starbeasts prowled the depths. But it was also packed with rare creatures and precious minerals.
The Ocean Tear Layla bought from Dizzy’s shop in Shadow Alley came straight from the Abyss, and plenty of people lost their lives trying to get their hands on it.
On the aero-vehicle, November noticed Layla was really quiet. He squeezed her hand gently and asked, “Layla, what’s wrong?”
“I just feel sorry for Her Majesty. She really deserves better,” Layla said softly.
“My mom’s always had so many worries, especially about Meridia. But now, it feels like everything she gave up wasn’t even worth it,” November said.
After November finished speaking, both of them fell silent.
