Sorry I'm Mated To The Commander novel Chapter 61

Chapter 61

Zee said, “Man, why did Mrs. Zimmer block you? I told you, Mr Zimmer, you were way too harsh on her before. Honestly the fact that she just blocked you and didn’t go for a divorce is actually pretty chill of her

Atlas was speechless.

Just then, Atlas’s phone rang. It was Davis, the principal of Imperial Academy

“Atlas, I thought you should know. Layla got into a fight, and she’s pretty badly hurt, Davis said.

Before Davis could finish, Atlas hung up.

Davis wasn’t sure for a moment if Atlas really came to deal with this.

Honestly, Davis had no idea just how much Layla mattered to Atlas.

The teacher beside him was visibly anxious. “Mr. Taylor, do you think Atlas will come? If he doesn’t, those parents are going to be impossible to handle.”

No one could’ve imagined that Layla would wipe the floor with five opponents all on her own.

Three of them ended up seriously hurt, and one was still knocked out cold.

All five were heiresses from powerful families, and now those families were breathing down the school’s neck.

The school could barely handle the pressure anymore.

Davis shook his head, looking uncertain. “His Highness didn’t say whether he’d come or not.”

The teacher looked worried. “So what do we do now? Should we try reaching out to the Sullivan family? If Duke Karter steps in, those families might just let it slide.”

Davis stared at his phone for a moment, remembering the call that had just been cut off, then finally dialed Karter’s number.

Karter had been in Krish’s good graces lately.

When Davis called, Karter was in the middle of a game of Go with Krish.

“Sorry, Your Highness, I need to take this call. It’s Davis from Imperial Academy,” Karter said.

“Go ahead,” Krish replied.

“Yes, Your Highness,” Karter said.

Karter picked up the phone, and as Davis explained what had happened, his face instantly darkened.

Unbelievable. That girl is really pushing it, Karter thought, his anger rising. ‘She’s a mech engineer, so why is she brawling with troopers? Come on, they’re all classmates. Sparring is one thing, but actually hurting those heiresses?

Karter really didn’t want to stand up for Layla.

He was just about to brush Davis off when Krish cut in, “Is this about Layla?”

Karter nodded, looking a little sheepish, and filled him in on what Davis said.

Karter snapped, “That girl is so out of line. How could she be so harsh to her classmates? She’s still young; maybe she needs to face some consequences.”

Krish said gently, “Layla’s young and doesn’t know any better. But as her dad, you should be on her side.

“Otherwise, she’ll only get more disappointed in you and the Sullivan family. Come on, I’ve got some time. Let’s go together.”

Karter was stunned. He always knew Krish had a soft spot for Layla, but he never realized just how much she mattered to him.

Before he knew it, Karter was already on the aero-vehicle with Krish, heading straight for Imperial Academy.

When Davis heard Karter was on his way, he finally breathed a sigh of relief.

Davis really didn’t want to get into it with those noble families. Letting them handle it themselves would be ideal.

And the most important thing was, all these families were on Prince Krish’s side, so there was no way they’d turn on each other completely.

But when Davis found out Krish was tagging along too, he was stunned.

‘Why’s His Highness Krish coming here?’ Davis wondered, totally baffled.

For some reason, he just felt uneasy.

Heading out to greet Krish, Davis couldn’t shake the gut feeling that something huge was about to go down.

‘Man, I hope I’m just overthinking this,’ he told himself, trying to calm his nerves.

Meanwhile, Layla, now the center of everyone’s attention, kept her cool.

Layla had been itching for an all-out brawl.

But she never expected the other side’s A-Tier mech suit to be armed with a devastating photon cannon.

It shattered the arm of her B-Tier training mech in a split second.

And just when she thought things couldn’t get any worse, Vanessa and Martha went straight for her control console.

In a mech suit showdown, getting hurt was just part of the game.

But Layla never thought they’d actually play dirty and go for the kill.

It was like they were really trying to take her out.

‘Did I piss these heiresses off somehow? What did I ever do to deserve them coming at me this hard?’ Layla thought, completely thrown off.

But even if she didn’t get it, that didn’t stop Layla from fighting back.

“They’re coming at me with everything they’ve got, and I’m supposed to just play nice? What kind of idiots do they think I am?’ Layla thought, her tone full of disdain.

So Layla went all out, showing no mercy as she sent every single one of them crashing off the stage.

The families behind those girls didn’t care about the facts at all; they barged in, demanding that Layla be expelled on the spot, not even bothering to hear her side of the story.

Vanessa’s mother, Aisha Mooney, was even worse. She went straight for Layla, hand raised, ready to slap her across the face.

“You, parentless foster girl, no manners at all, so damn arrogant. You hurt my daughter, and I’ll make sure you pay for this,”

Aisha snapped.

Layla reached out and grabbed Aisha’s hand like it was nothing, totally unfazed as she stared her down.

“Mrs. Mooney, you come in here running your mouth. Is that your good manners? How rude,” Layla shot back.

“Let go of me. Ow, that hurts,” Aisha yelped.

Layla shoved her hand away.

Aisha stumbled back a few steps, and her bodyguards immediately rushed over, shielding her and glaring daggers at Layla

Layla gave them a frosty stare. “Vanessa didn’t even bother asking what happened before she started throwing punches, and she went straight for the kill.

“Now I see, she gets it from you. Fine, I’ll stand right here. If anyone tries to mess with me, I promise I’ll hit back twice as

hard.”

Just then, one of the teachers cleared his throat. “Layla, calm down. Mr. Taylor and the others will be here soon. They’ll sort this out.”

Layla let out a cold laugh. “Sir, is your throat suddenly acting up? Because when she was coming at me, you just stood there and did nothing.”

These were Alpha Prime’s rules.

The noble families here really ran the show.

Even the teachers at Imperial Academy didn’t dare cross them.

Teachers were supposed to protect students, but here they were, bending over backwards for the rich kids.

‘What kind of teacher sides with the bullies and picks on regular students? They don’t deserve to call themselves educators, Layla thought, her contempt clear.

Teachers might be scared of the noble families, but Layla had the guts to stand up to them.

If anyone dared to slap her, Layla would send them flying with a slap of her own.

Having grown up in an orphanage and then spending ten years with the Sullivan family, Layla had always known that the only one who would truly have her back was herself.

She kept telling herself, ‘You’re an orphan, just a foster child taken in by the Sullivan family. Don’t expect too much from others. That way, you won’t be disappointed.’

Just then, Annie and Alex finally made it in. They’d been stuck outside until now.

They ended up injuring a teacher just to get through.

They stood firmly by Layla’s side, not backing down for a second,

Layla blinked in surprise.

Annie stepped up, her voice unwavering. “Mrs. Mooney, this whole mess started because of Vanessa.

“She was the one who challenged Layla, then dragged four friends to gang up on her, even busted out an A-Tier mech suit, and they still lost? What a joke.

“If I were you, I’d be way too embarrassed to even stand here. I’d run home, lock the door, and hide from everyone.”

Aisha’s lips twitched with anger. “Annie, what happened to acting like a proper lady? If Branden finds out you’re this kind of woman, he’ll never want to marry you.”
