Chapter 67
Chapter 67
During his rut, Atlas was super clingy.
And his clinginess was laser-focused on Layla. He wouldn’t let anyone else get close.
Wherever she went, he was like a giant fox-shaped accessory hanging off her.
After they finished checking out Atlas’s basement, he was still glued to Layla as they headed back to the bedroom.
His pheromones hung heavy in the air, and his fluffy tail quivered softly.
The more she got used to him, the less she could imagine being apart.
Layla closed her eyes, feeling helpless. If Atlas kept tearing her apart like this, one day she might just split in two.
In a daze, Layla murmured, “If only you could always be like this.”
Atlas’s movements paused for a moment.
Then, Atlas’s pine scent grew so intense it nearly smothered Layla’s rose fragrance.
The night slipped by in a haze of wild passion.
When Layla woke up, she found Atlas’s fluffy tail still wrapped possessively around her leg.
The gorgeous man was holding her tight, his chin unconsciously nuzzling against her neck.
He was so attached to her.
Layla sighed, trying to wriggle free from the fox clinging to her.
November slowly woke up, his big, dewy eyes blinking in confusion.
“Star?” November called out, still groggy.
“Let go,” Layla said.
“No way.” November protested, sounding adorably whiny and nasal from just waking up.
The pretty fox-eared boy looked so pitiful, clinging to Layla with both his arms and legs.
All nine of his fluffy tails were twined tightly around her ankles.
He was like a life-sized fox plushie stuck to her.
Layla’s forehead throbbed in frustration. She said helplessly, “I have class this morning. I really have to go. If you mess with my studies, I’m not talking to you ever again.”
That really got to November. He instantly let go, then looked up at her with big, hopeful eyes. “T-Then can I come with you
to class?”
Layla was speechless.
In the end, after breakfast, Layla ended up with a tail trailing after her.
And that tail was actually a fox, November himself.

Chapter 67
November obediently put on his mask and followed Layla, being almost ridiculously well-behaved.
On the way, a bunch of students who’d heard about Layla’s big moment yesterday kept calling out to her.
They even ran into Chaim from the Crown Squad.
It was normal to bump into him since they were all in the same Mech Engineering Division.
Chaim couldn’t stand Layla. As he walked past, he glared daggers at her.
Layla just ignored him and kept walking.
But November was pissed. Fiddling with his mech suit controls, he snapped, “What are you staring at? You want to fight or something?”
Chaim knew November was a total powerhouse, so he snapped, “Why are you always itching for a fight? Never seen a command as rude as you.”
“Well, that’s funny. I’ve never seen a mech engineer as stupid as you,” November shot back.
Chaim’s face turned dark. He gritted his teeth, “Who are you calling an idiot?”
“You, obviously. There’s no one else here. Don’t like it? Fight me,” November taunted.
Chaim was speechless. ‘He’s so damn infuriating,’ he thought.
Layla suddenly realized that when November was in his rut, he turned all cute and needy around her.
But with everyone else, he was still snappy and aggressive as ever.
During class, November sat right next to Layla, totally owning the room with his presence.
Layla was basically a legend in her year now. One versus five, and she totally crushed them, no cap, she was legit.
And the wildest part was that she left those rich heiresses bruised and battered, and still walked away without a scratch.
Everyone kept stealing glances at these two. They were straight-up dazzling.
November frowned, catching a guy in the front row sneaking a look their way. He shot him a sharp, possessive glare. “Eyes off. Layla’s already my wife.”
The guy, who’d just wanted to ask Layla how much a custom weapon would cost, instantly jerked his head away, totally intimidated.
Layla gave November an exasperated look.
November just flashed her a sweet, innocent grin, and under the table, the tip of his tail gently nudged her fingers.
Layla could only stare in disbelief.
The teacher for this class was Shayla.
She started the lecture and announced there’d be a test in the second half of the class.
Based on the test scores and everyone’s previous credits, they’d be forming a new Class S.
Students in Class S would get first dibs on all the school’s top resources, no doubt about it.
Layla frowned at November. “Didn’t you say the Command Division has a test too? You should go see what’s up over there.”

November shook his head stubbornly. The test doesn’t matter. Being with you is way more important.”

“Oh, right, it’s Class S. We’ll be in the same classes a lot from now on. If you don’t make it into the Command Division’s Class S, you won’t get to hang out with me,” Layla said.
November’s eyes went round as saucers.
‘No way, that’s not happening, he thought.
“Layla, I’ll go take the Command Division test first, then I’ll come right back to you,” November said.
Layla gave a small nod, and as November finally headed off, she could finally breathe easy.
Chaim sneered, “Layla, did you get yourself a husband, or are you just stuck babysitting? November’s a beast in a fight, but honestly, he’s kinda slow, isn’t he?”
