Surrogate for the Alpha Prince in a Coma novel Chapter 188

Chapter 188

Lillian’s POV

+15 Banus

Curled in Grayson’s arms, I felt peace. Not only had I satisfied him, soothing his jealous heart, but I had revealed true feelings from inside of me that I hadn’t even realized were true until I said them aloud.

Now that they were out there and open between us, I felt them growing even more.

Grayson was the only man I had ever desired as much as I did, and that desire grew more and more every day. Desire wasn’t the only emotion either that had been growing between us, but I hadn’t been brave enough to mention what else things could be between us.

To say the word love was far too scary yet.

I had once thought myself in love with Calvin, but the feelings I had mistaken for love back then were nothing compared to what I felt for Grayson now. It was like comparing the spark of a match to the flames of the sun. There was no competition.

But the feelings were so strong, so powerful, that they filled me with fear. In no universe could Grayson feel the same way, and if he were to catch on to my emotions, and reject them… I didn’t know how I could handle that.

Better not to know. Better to let my feelings be that unnamed thing between us, where it couldn’t be used to hurt

Grayson grumbled in his sleep. He turned further into me, his arms settling more fully around me. My heart warmed even more, and my face did too, as I remembered the way he had held me only an hour ago, pinning me to our new bed while he worked me with his tongue…

I had worried that my strength would flare again, but it hadn’t. The moment had been perfect.

During that perfection, I had been closer than I had ever been before to asking him to be inside of me.

I had been holding onto my virginity so tightly, saving myself for my true mate. Maybe that was Grayson, or maybe it wasn’t. But he was the man I loved. He was my mate and my husband. I knew he would be gentle with me, as he had always been before – unless I desired and asked for me.

What was I really afraid of?

In the moment, I had held my tongue. But now, in the afterglow, I almost wished that I hadn’t. My heart was ready to be bound to Grayson in every sense of the word.

But…

I loved him. What if he didn’t love me? Could I forgive myself for giving into my carnal desires with a man who didn’t compare his love for me to the sun?

No. I didn’t think I could.
