Chapter 198
e’s not alone,” I said, coming to stand at Grayson’s side.
Calvin smirked, and gestured to the other rogues with him. “Neither am I. Maybe it’s time for us to negotiate, yeah? But I have new demands this time. I’m sure you’ll find them reasonable. Not like you have any other choice on the matter.” He laughed.
“What do you want?” I asked. Grayson just continued to glare.
“Be mine, Lillian. Commit yourself to me. Give me your body and your hand. Support my return to the pack and my push to be heir. And in return, I’ll make sure to put Grayson out of his misery.”
“You will not touch her,” Grayson growled. My heart leapt. Of all the things Calvin said, it had been his desire to possess me that had upset Grayson the most. Not his push to be returned to the pack or his fight for the crown.
“Well, you’d be dead,” Calvin said. “So you won’t have much say.”

Grayson was ten times the man Calvin could ever even hope to be.
“You will never have me,” I told him, a new tensión rising inside of me. My wolf, growling from with, pushing to the edges of my conscious thoughts.
Calvin inhaled deeply. “Pity. Then you will die alongside our poor poisoned prince.”
“We will not die,” I said, my voice rougher, somehow filled with my growing fury. “You will leave this place. Now. You will leave us alone.”
Calvin grinned. “You don’t give the orders around here, Lillian. I am the leader of Blood Fang. I am the man you will soon call master. When I’m standing on your husband’s corpse, I
Something inside of me snapped. One minute, I was standing there beside Grayson, and in the next, I had moved. Shifted into my wolf form, I leapt at Calvin’s throat. He dodged at the last minute, but I could smell his fear.
“Stop her!” he commanded the other rogues as he retreated.
